Agreed. Fight for promotion, then fight to stay in the top league. If it's easy to just cruise along, the game becomes boring.

I know. Win at all costs. Don't throw games. How much greater will a sponsor offer be for a 10th place I.1 team compared to a 1st/2nd place II.2 team?

My guess is the I.1 team would have the higher offer.

Actually, right now i'm looking like i'll finish either 9th or 10th in the Other World I.1 league. After the contracts are up, i'll contact the winner of the II.2 league and ask them what they got

Sounds like a good deal. Won't really help me then since I'll know if I'm up or down . I know this season my contract for next season won't matter if I'm in I.1 or II.2 strictly because it is based off the league and reg. season standings is it not? It would make more sense to do with season ending standings and next season's league as that is where the sponsor will be getting their publicity...

Sponsorship deals are also based off of your finishing rank in the previous season, your Overall Team Rating, and supposedly you get higher offers if you qualify for an international cup.

I'm willing to bet that League level is the biggest factor, but by how much right now is anyone's guess.

Basically I'd like to watch how contracts are offered and see how wide the divide between League 1 and League 2 teams are. In the *last* hockey sim I was in, it was nearly impossible to crack league 1 unless one of the existing teams quit, because they had such a large financial advantage for so long.

I'll share my contract amount with y'all next season too -- I have the #7 OTR in the USA but I may still be in League II next season.

Congrats on #7 in the US of A. I got #7 in the Canad of A. For now that is... I've passed themightyoil but at the start of next season I'll likely slide out of the top 10. Live the dream while I can

I personally hate the guy. But to each their own.

My OTR's only so high because I win almost all my friendlies, I perform fairly well in the NCs, and I had an easy season in III.1 beating on inactives haha.

If I make it into I.1 next season, unlikely as that is, I can kiss that #7 goodbye.

Mine is nice because of a darn-near undefeated season 2 in III.7. Add to that a nice run this year in II.2 and the NC I've done fairly well. Too well to be honest all things considered... I'll take it though. My SA has been killing me so I'll slowly slide I think.
