Nice questions with semi-noob answers:
1. Transition of clubs on every end of season makes some country to have less leagues than before. That number of leagues obviously has big impact (around 20%) for creating GS offers (amongst other things), where 4 leagues and above, gives max GS offer in one country.
2. From what I've noticed, there is no valid statistical sample that you could use for configuring your lines or players. Statistics here are not precise, and you could say they are random made.
3. It wasn't anomaly, it was random.
4. If you want to let some players gain chemistry for regular playing in league, friendlies could do the trick, BUT don't expect huge increase in their chem like from league games. So, basically you could let 18+ players to play friendlies and younger players to rest. Nothing significant they will lose/gain by that action, so it's up to you.
5. What is "core quality" ? Every player grows in pace that his qualities allow him to do so. Player with 90+ quality on main skill but 60- on some secondaries, will not grow so much as player with equally spread 80+ quality for example.
There is no hidden factor except random that makes your player train same skill differently 10 times in a row.

I think you use the word "random" a little too freely.
2. what do you mean statistics are random made? That doesn't make any sense. Statistics are precise. The best indicators for defensemen are points and plus/minus.
3. how do you know this? There could be several reasons why his player's shooting percentage decreased so much
a) tougher opposition faced than previous season (better goalies, better defense)
b) less competent linemates (relatively speaking to the previous season)
c) it's possible that he padded up his stats the season before in a few blowouts against weak opponents.
d) less luck
Shooting percentage is definitely not random, but there are many factors that influence it and in small samples it can be very misleading.
5. there is nothing hidden, but there are 2 other factors that influence rate of improvement.
a) career longevity (the higher the better)
b) age (the younger the better)

2. I mean - if you are looking for perfect ratio for training players, statistics wouldn't give it to you. Also, if you don't mess around big time with your lines, lining up your best player in weakest 4th line for an example - statistics would be different from season to season. One season my best player by points will be winger with 70% shooting skill towards main, other season it will be center with 80% shooting skill. I didn't say it was huge random like def aren't getting def's stat but wingers.
3. Same response as for No.2 but for all things/parameters being equal as last season.
Sorry that I used it freely, I guess I wasn't prepared for large elaborations on it.

5. Not sure what you mean by "core qualities", so if you tell us his exact qualities, C/L, current attributes and the ratio you train him at, we can tell why his training might be slower than you expect.
hey guys, i realize i'm paying too much for transfer fee and im wondering how can i loer my Transfer fee Cost? ANY IDEAL?
When setting up a training camp, the system outlines one attribute in red and some players don't have an attribute outlined. What does that outline mean?
Initially I thought it was the attribute that'd be worked on based off training ratios, but that didn't work out.

Bold = Primary
Red = Secondary
Players who don't have this don't have it because you don't have their "player type" defined.

I think it is the skill they are currently being trained in, or the next skill they will be trained in with auto training. Not 100% sure though...
Close, the skill with an outline on it was where 1 point increase was seen since the last update. For example I have some older players that did not recieve enough points to raise a skill all the way, no border, but the ones that did go up one point last night do have the border.
it's last practised attribute before you set the auto-practice
That is not the case with me. One example is a player who is outlined red in Goa, and I click on the player, his last training was in Tec. Also I had only one player that were not outlined, and he trained 1.34...
Ah, see mine usually only show where an attribute had just increased that day, interesting
