Hey guys I've got one.
My recent game: soccer.powerplaymanager.c... identical energy, Elton Lai rated a point higher than Scott Bruce.
For those who haven't scouted them:
Lai - 38 170 35 33 42 86 80 80 104 28 668
Bruce- 27 170 22 21 33 90 90 113 81 60 647
So Why is Lai better?!

His heading is higher. Heading is the most important secondary for central defenders. Train Bruce's up to 95 and you'll see his rating gain a couple points too.
thanks
I really thought it was all equal all across the board

I did lots of research starting with GKs. Basically, while the 70/50/30 rule is a good base... just because two attributes are in the same level of secondary, doesn't mean they're to be equal. This is easiest to test with CBs since they have four medium secondaries. 50/50/50/50 is often what people train. However, I've found that increasing heading to have a very beneficial impact... by even a couple IGR points.
There. Secret's out. Not that anyone should believe me given the dire state of my team
. Scout my CBs. You'll see I do it and am not leading you astray.

$148,501,000 and 3 days until I spend $148,050,000 on TF-15. Held of spending a dime for a long while now. Gotta just pretend it's not there these last few days.
For my center defense I go with a 21-12-11-11-11.
Thanks.
So what exactly is the reason why the programmers don't just tell us the ratios?

Canucks has been told there is no exact ratio... a range of things will work just fine.
What I don't get is when two players are identical like you pointed out, they should at least be rated the same. Otherwise its just a roll of the dice whether you get the better player (on top of the already roll of the dice if you get any good players from the academy).

There is no exact ratio that parallels across the board, but there are certain niches for each position.
What I don't get is how forwards have higher player rating than any other position. I've compared an elite Swedish midfielder who is close to Frenette in everything, yet Frenette checks in at 23 while Mathias Magnusson is an 18. It makes no sense.
I am not sure of that either. One thing I do know is that shooting is calculated in a higher percentage for forwards.. Pro Tip...
