i think "luck" is the wrong term to use. you can lower another teams' percentage chances at winning certain events and in total the game by having a better team yourself. i think when you talk about luck you're starting to ignore the real components of the game.

Right. Because of course luck is involved, but luck is involved in anything. Take one in-game event. The puck goes into the corner, Team A's player is better than Team B's player going for the puck... let's say 3 out 5 times Team A's player would win the puck in the corner. But this time when the dice roll, Team B's player comes up with the puck. Was that lucky? I guess, but 2 out of every 5 times this event would occur anyway.

Every event in the game engine goes that way. Because the dice are weighted for the better teams, and the teams that choose the right tactics, and the players with higher energy, etc... most of the time these events go their way. Sometimes they don't.

Believe me, I know it can be frustrating to lose those games. Last season I went out of the US Cup when I played the right tactic, had the better team, and out shot my opponent 40-16! Dice just didn't go my way.

I think the playoffs do count, but I'm not quite sure how. The ratings are higher than I would expect based just on the round-robin points.

Hey, I was as baffled as you were when I saw I won. I don't know how I won so, just as you were, I was trying to figure out what the reason was, mainly so that I could do that again. .

nevertheless, as some say, you can't look at it on a game-by-game basis. Leggs lost to Best777 early on and I don't recall he had people in camp. It just happens.

Man, my football team is so bad. I had 3 players that i fired who had avg Q under 12. No joke. One of them had Avg Q of 1. that's it, 1.

yeah, mine blows too. I was hoping everyone else sucked too...
saw FC New York has 3 guys on the market who are all in the 90's...sigh.

I have Avg Q's of: 1, 6, 12. One is on the market, because (for now) his atty's are pretty decent.

Yeah my league has a few guys with q's in 90's and 190s OR

keep in mind how low your scouting ability is over in soccer. Those avQ numbers you're seeing don't mean a whole lot yet.

That's a good point for the players in the extreme. It's a safe bet the player showing as a 1 now is really closer to a 1 than a 100. It's tough for the middle of the road players tho.

Most definitely. but I fired everyone under 35 and under 130 OR. Not worth trying to sell either with this saturated market.

Actually, I must have clicked on CA by mistake because I only went on the tactics page to change when to pull the goalie, expecting I'd be blown out. I'll take the win though.
