Mine are higher (barely). How's your OTR compared to last season?
It's about 8 lower than last season. Does regular season standing have a large effect? Went from 3->5. Playoffs was 3->3. Sponsorship offers for general and media were about 20-25% lower than last season.
The guide does say that final rankings from the recently ended season influence the offers, but it's unclear if that means playoff/placement rankings or if that also takes into account season rankings. In your case, it sounds like season and playoff rankings are taken into account, because I can't imagine the OTR is accounting for that big of a drop on its own.
Mine were way lower after my first season up this time and I was 13 regular and 14th after playoffs.
So guys I will most likely become the new USA National team Manager. I have already posted what I am looking for in players on the national team page. If you guys have any players who fit those stats then can you send the information to me? I need it so I can pick new players for the team and my scouting is already busy. I really need the help and it would be great if I can find some good players and we can make our country one of the best internationally.
The harsh reality of the free agent market set in yesterday when I saw the offer made on my top OR player. I haven't had to deal with this very much in the last several seasons as I rebuilt my team. I *could* pay that much for this guy, but what about the others hitting the market this season? Not to mention two or three seasons down the road, when my class of former U20 and U18 starters hits the market. How will I pay for that? I'd better start saving money now. Realistically, I'm deepest at right wing, so he's more replaceable than the other guys hitting the market soon, and those other guys will be better at 26 than this guy is now...
And just like that, I've talked myself out of resigning my top OR player. Even though I have the money for him. This is why I'll never make the I.1 playoffs.

Here is my best OR player. Don't feel so bad about your requested signing costs. They are going to get worse.......much, much worse. As you can see, I have to sell off a ton of talent that I was counting on for years to come. Not sure myself if I can keep my team intact. Guess that's why teams in real life have troubles staying on top. Just like the Blackhawks, they lose a ton of talent every year. In that regard, it really makes this game represent the actual problems an NHL team faces in real life. Hence the reason I enjoy this game. You really get the feel of what it takes to manage a professional hockey team. Looks like Psychos may have checked out. His players were getting hit pretty hard and he let some go. Really is frustrating to raise a player for a decade and watch another team poach him when he is at his most productive. He hasn't signed in since the 9th. At any rate, hang in there, we're all going through our own free agent decisions.
Some of their players on the U18 national team hadn't really been training for a while.
In any case, I have 10 open spots on the U18 team, and I might end up adding a bunch of the Pyschos prospects to the roster pretty soon.
I was considering experimenting with cutting all my salary costs in soccer to build a strong team, but I guess I forgot about RFA costs. I guess it is still possible, though I would need to save twcie as much as I pay for any players and would do better to buy prospects than veterans at first when I save enough.

Was in I.1 for 10 seasons before making the playoffs for the first time last season. It's a tough go. Just poured my money into mainly building my arena and then facilities until making enough to buy some decent players.
How long did it take you to buy sufficiently good players after you finished with your arena and facilities? I'm at about that point now.
