That's fair. Okay, I will scout him and then add him once I see how big that 90% AQ really is.
Two guys from my last draft to watch out for:
Joe Carroll, W, 404 OR
Qs: 92 OFF, 96 SHO, 87 TEC, 86 AGR
https://hockey.powerplaymanager.com/en/player.html?data=22304361-joe-carroll
Keshawn Murray, C, 413 OR
Qs: 90 OFF, 94 PAS, 88 TEC, (sadly) 59 SHO.

I wish I had gotten them earlier, but with their high Qs, I think they will probably be good enough for the NTs eventually.

they're better than most As and the one A+ we had in I.1 >_<
Yeah, as I said elsewhere, I'm very happy with this draft. Carroll was actually an A+. Murray is the really nice surprise as he was rated as B only.
That said, last ssn in I.1, both drafts were terrible for me also. Out of all players I scouted in the mid season draft, there wasn't any A+ or even A.

Well, we are in the same position as last season. Would love to run the team again next season but at the same team find the idea of hogging the job, or even creating the impression of such, to be extremely distasteful. Being a PPM junkie, I will throw the hat into the ring next week if no one else applies for the job. But if someone else would like to take over I am open to the idea of not running and instead trying my luck in Europe with one of the bottom level clubs. I really think that developing the game in Canada is important and if someone would like to have a shot at the job to keep them motivated towards PPM I will be glad to step down. I just ask that the decision be made quickly so as to maximize my time to look for work overseas...
I think you are doing good work. There are not a whole lot of managers who are very implicated in Canada. Learning to manage NT is different than your own team. I am realizing this as assistant to Krokador on the U20. We are fortunate to have stability and dedicated managers for each level of NT. I would vote for you again.
I'm finally starting to do my job as assistant manager of U20
I started looking at the drafts around leagues and look for potential talent. The scouting reports will come later, but in the meantime, here are some players that look interesting.
I will put links to quite a few players because I can't have them all in the queue for scouting at the same time.
All these players seem to have Qs above 80% (before scouting report though).
Matthias Murdoch, Goalie (this one looks really promising since we are weak at this position)

Bill Zeigler

Jordan Lafonteese

Gavin Sheehan (this guy looks particularly good)

Ted Stanyer

Edward Alexander

You certainly are thorough. Will make a note on the guys but we only look closely at 16+ year old's (except for Stanyer and Sheehan, of course, since we missed out on these guys in our draft...)
Eberle's 86/94/83/89/83 in offensive qualities. Current distribution C (67 passing vs 55 aggr), but could go either way.
And now I'm looking forward to dropping back down to II.X just so I can get better draft picks

Ok makes sense. I guess these players can go, wrong in development and end up not interesting
It's still a good idea to track them from the get go in case they get sold abroad. It takes a long time going through all the team's trading history to find rare long lost pearls!
Yeah but we check the drafts every season now. We are tightening our grip and have a pretty good system including roster checks, drafts and transfer wires. With the the slow contraction of Canuck teams, it unfortunately gets easier by the season...
We use a similar strategy in basketball and senior hockey. It's much easier if you have Pro Pak.
