Well, even after opening up with the PPM community about Clit and my underhanded negotiations with game officials, the GM voting body went ahead anyways and astonishingly gave our country the privilege of hosting this season's Division 1 Finals. Don't get us wrong, we are proud although somewhat stunned. And now comes the terror and self-loathing for what we might have gotten ourselves into should we fail spectacularly and crash and burn on home turf...

I'll make sure my guys perform and give their 150% Since they make up like a third of the team, that should give you a decent boost, LMAO

Just got a note from the Croatian GM telling me that he screwed up the tactics for the semi-final and I feel bad for him and his team. As I said to him, certainly not the way we wanted to go up but you gotta know I will take it any way I can. They were a better looking club for sure and we just got a major, major break...

Shit happens. It goes one way and another. Good for us this one time.

Well, Clit won the big game for us last night. I was too drunk. Hindsight says we should have made sure to beat the Dutch and take the "Poland in the Semi" route but luckily everything worked out. Remember - it is either you are good to be lucky OR you have something jammed in there way, way up and, in our case, I assume it is the latter... The team played well when it mattered and the luxury of twin goalies sure helped out.
As or next season I have already foreshadowed this. We have only one 18 year old goalie and he is not good. The defense only has 5 returning 18 year old's so far but at least up front the club looks good. I am not sure how this team can stay in the top division if it can't keep the puck out so, if you have any back end players please let us know. If not, the next GM will have to find room to stick another horseshoe up there...

Oh. And we notice that the Dutch dropped into the basement. That is too bad...

I think i had a 17yo scouted that was close in skill to the 18yo i remember seeing in there. I'll try to pull the spreadsheet up some time within the next few days, when I'm not super busy or sleeping. I'll be back home next week to take care of business as usual, tho. And i should be ok setting lines and tactics til then, too. I hope.

My laptop is too much of a dinosaur to allow me to update my list of players, and it doesn't even manage to filter the spreadsheet propertly, but I think the guy I had in mind may have been in this list:

Jonas Nickerson
Miles Broughton
Johnathan Banks

(and I assume your guy who's not that good is Micheal Gauthier ?)

I still have a few unscouted players in my list of guys to look at but they're mostly 16yo now so probably not going to be much help.

You have my two 18 year old scouted, I think? I have Merrick, 17, LW, who is also worth a check. Normand, 16, LW, to keep an eye on.

We have Banks lined up for scouting but a sub-700 OR at the start of the 17 year old season is not very attractive. Yup, Gauthier. If we can't find anyone else then I guess Nickerson and Broughton will have to do but we do have 10 or so guys that we are waiting on. We need 2 for sure. As for Le Royal, Merrick is queued and nope, we weren't aware of Normand yet but he is now queued as well. We are still hoping to get our hands on Feraro and Bissell this season...[sly wink icon]
