I fully agree with what has been said, PPM needs to add new attributes and give the managers more flexibility with the way they train their players. Otherwise, once most teams have maxed out facilities and are aware of the existence of the 2:1:1 ratio, this game is going to get boring impressively fast.
But overall I've got to say the devs are doing a great job and I'm still having a lot of fun playing PPM. There are some things that could be tweaked here and there of course, but I really think the only major issue is the simplicity of the game engine.

speed should be an attribute for sure. I also like the idea we were discussing some time ago, about giving a chemistry boost to home grown players. maybe let them get to something equivalent to about 110% chem.
a stat like def should have more effect on a forward than it does as well. I could use more things to do on here too, all I do right now is login, check score, adjust tactics for next game, then chat nonsense on the forums for the rest of the time. If it wasn't for some of the other members on here, I probably wouldn't be playing.

I feel the exact same way.

this is why you can't leave us TheChad, who will I end an argument by simultaneously referencing Team America with?
Its become my preferred social network, a place where I can chat with like minded people with the actual game itself becoming secondary. Almost like that farm game on facebook.

Well in that case you are suggesting there be player types. Playmaker (Sedin), sniper (Sedin), dangler (Datsyuk), powerforward (Lindros), grinder (Kesler)... 5 Sounds like enough for me =). The ratio thing cant be changed though (what else can you tell a simple game engine?). It can however be applied differently for the player types. 2-1-1 for a Grinder would be DEF, OFF, AGR.
Wait Lindros=Grinder? Or do you mean soft-as-baby-poo?
yah now that you mention it... powerforward = (Holmstrom)
powerforward = Ovechkin and to a lesser extent, Erik Cole. The only ones consistant and claiming that type:

I define a powerforward as a player who uses their body to maintain puck possesion, and force their position on the ice like driving to the net. Hits dont really say that but if you hit you likely have the strength to play a powerforward style.
Rick Nash is a powerforward.
He isn't a big hitter, but he uses his body to protect the puck and drive the net.
