Содржина: New Facility? - Legal Department (Feedback)

Hey guys,
I was doing some thinking and I think it would be nice to have an 8th facility - the legal department. Lawyers would be responsible for negotiating contracts of both players and staff. Thus, the higher the Legal Department and the better your Lawyers the lower your salaries would be for players and staff. I think this would be a great addition to help offset the vastly increasing staff and player salaries. It is nice right now because a friendly game in soccer will cover all my expenses and give a small profit even, however a hockey friendly will mean I'm almost a mil in the hole due to that day.

Let me know your thoughts. Enough positive feedback I'll start an international thread and if people don't think I'm crazy or haven't found any loopholes I could see what the devs think.

The only loophole I can find is that lawyers would essentially be also negotiating a lower contract for them... like that would ever happen!

Love the idea of influencing salaries. What I would add is to have the facility give a very small bonus to your RFA/UFA re-signings. Something like a 0.1% discount per level per season for any player that was on your team for at least half the season. Maybe cap it at 1% per year. That way you get a small (10%) hometown discount for your homegrown players.

Might be easier to get this implemented as part of HR rather than an added facility from a programming stand point. That and I only find HR useful for the influence on sponsorship offers, scouting is a wash once you get around 50%. This would give HR some purpose, though the influence would probably be less because there's no extra daily upkeep from the additional facility.

Good point! Not sure if it would be hard to implement an 8th facility. Perhaps I'm bias because I like the look of 8 facilities rather than 7. You think any of the devs would fly with this?

Salaries, especially staff, has been one of the biggest complaints for a while and I don't see that going away any time soon. Meanwhile Vlady maintains it is working as intended and will eventually balance out, which I'll buy but that's going to take a lot of seasons.

The good thing about your idea is that it works for both sides. It gives the complainers a viable option to control and lower salaries, to an extent. But it doesn't rework the financial system so much but rather gives you an option to scale back salaries slightly at the expense of facility upgrades. Not disrupting the eventual balance that should be there.

PPM hasn't been adverse to minor changes and fine tuning while giving you more options and decisions to make. This idea fits right into that.

I figure it would work the same way maintenance does with facilities. You have a base salary (the values now) and depending on the level and efficiency you get a % discount off people who sign new contracts at that time. For low levels it wouldn't be much at all. But once you get up the ladder a bit it becomes more noticeable.

It's just a thought though. I've been informed that they have lots of other major projects to finish up so perhaps in half a year's time I will bring it up again.
