You both played the same tactic, so the game came down to pure team strength. He did have home team advantage, which gave him a boost.
Other than that... it's just that he ended up with a bit more luck.

One small suggestion... don't play high importance.. ever! Save the high importance for the end of the season and/or playoffs. Using it early in the system will hurt your team in the long-run.
My player is listed as having a dislocated thumb and it says he will fully recover in 2 days. I read the guide regarding day-to-day injuries like that and it says that they are allowed to be dressed, but their performance is hindered.
Do you know how much his performance will be negatively affected by this injury? Is it worth playing him today even though I have no one that can really fill his place.
Again thanks for your help.

I don't think anyone knows. I generally sit out players listed as DTD but I played a DTD player on Wednesday and he was fine. Didn't aggravate the injury further and wasn't heads and shoulders worse than the others.
His abilities will decrease by something in range of 10-30%. Nobody can tell you exactly.
An extra edvice: Invest more in sports academy. At this stage of your team, it will give you better players that you've got now.

Also take a look at the players you have chosen for penalty kill, you gave up a fairly large number of PP goals. Also you played 4 lines vs his 3, and so your weaker 4th line was facing some better lines. They faired pretty well (no minus) but it did keep your better lines off of the ice. And to reiterate, don't use high. Normal for away games and low for home games if you have a strength advantage.
What do you guys consider to be the most important attys for PK? I'm currently building my lines off of Def and Agr but my PK is sucking....
PK = Penalty kill units?
Make sure they have a good chemistry and experience, defenders have decent technique comparing to their agresiveness (at least 80-90%) so you don't go 3-on-5 and most importantly: use Ds and forwards with high 'Defense' attributes

I use an entirely different scheme for PK but I'm in a lower division and my training methods might also account for its success, so I will hold onto my scheme until further review.
Wanna share some details to your magical PK scheme?
think players that are puck hungry. I know its not an attribute thats directly spelled out, but you can figure it out if you think about it. I want a PK that wants that puck more than the PP.
