Good luck in II, is going to be a difficult season if you land in II.02, too many good teams there.

Should be fun! I've beaten all those teams before in the cup or friendlies. (I think)

Oh did I mess that game up, important game and I changed the importance in the wrong setting, this leaving my importance at low. Congrats Abbottsford in your victory, but 6 yellow cards, come on simulator WTF!!!

Promoted in one season, not bad. Shows that it is possible in this sim.

Most surprising results were

today. Royals tried a new formation and put on some crummy subs which did not work well at all.

Anyone wanting to improve their team drastically in one season as I have need to follow the following advice:
-1 the players you start off with all suck, sell/terminate as soon as you can (watch the minimum roster limit). No sense in keeping players you will never use (except to try and make better which they will never get where you want them to get).
-2 the chart here soccer.powerplaymanager.c... is your best friend for getting players on the market. Study the chart under Secondary attribute usage, the BIG and MEDIUM influence, along with the position skills are all important when buying on the market. If they have all but one do NOT buy them. Also if a forward they should have a high level in shooting. Usually I would set a minimum of 90 for all position, big, and medium skills when searching the market. Also watch the salary, I still only have 3 players above 20K daily in salary (one being my starting goalie, the 2nd being my best forward, the third having a salary of 21K). One of my starters has a salary of $11369 daily so no point in draining your money with a player who costs a lot.
-3 Keep building that training facility. The rest of the buildings suck except Regeneration facility, and Human resources and economic department. Those crummy buildings you might need a level or two to build but nothing more for a long time (what about the academy you ask, ask yourself how much you have to pour in to get a player as good as you can get from the market). If you have already invested in the academy keep what you have but really the academy is a waste IMO until much later.
-4 Pour what you can into one section of the stadium, the rest leave at minimum until you get $38M then pour it all into one section which will be rocking when fully built (at least that is what I am aiming for, if it bankrupts me - which I doubt but I am still learning of course - then you know that this strategy was foolish, lol).
-5 Staff, most positions you should hire the job applicants when they become available as they have cheap salaries. I wasted so much money on staff that in the end I am sure I could have built at least one more level of training facility by now (currently am on hold building the training facility as out of cash for a while).
-6 Scout the best teams in your division. It is free so why not. If you are promoting, SCOUT THE BEST TEAMS in the tier above. You might have noticed I went on a tad of a spending spree the last week or so, that is cause the teams in the tier above are going to make my team look like garbage. Before my spending spree I figure I would have ended up 20th, now I figure with my current lineup I will end up next season around 10th to 12th without further tinkering to the lineup (which I really doubt I will do as I really need to invest in the training facility and save towards stadium expansion).

Right now I basically have 2 teams in my club. A starting 11, plus a backup of 9 who in the event of injury to my starting 11 can fill in and do a decent job. On top of that I have a 3rd goalie so that in the event I have injuries to my starter or sub goalie I am not screwed (happened to me once this season where both my starter and sub goalies were injured and so was down to my third string who at the time had a goalie rating of 64 (cause he was a defender), lol.
