Squeaked one out today with an injury time goal. Dominated the game, home field, narrow win. I'd like to say "it'll be better when my training camp ends" but that's doubtful as all my vets are currently playing.
Unexpected home loss for me. But who could have reasonably expected the opponent would go VH on the first game day of the season?
Happens quite often I've found - people don't revert from their end-of-season EXP growth tactics in time for opening game. Just shiite luck for you.

Man, div 2 is tough. My boy Trepanier scores 8 goals and can't get a team of the day shout. 
TOD is heavily biased against strong teams.
Something seemed weird, he scored more goals than any other forward that match day.
Biggest impact is how good is your opponent. If you're playing an opponent much weaker than you, it is hard to get guys on TOTD. Otherwise TOTD would always be the people playing inactive teams.
