Seems like everyone went to overtime, yesterday. Might be because the Attack still have a solid goaltender in net?
I was going to go low with normal tactics against the Atomics. Instead I dind't change tactics, but changed the importance normal...
I think i might have to give this kid a shot at regular play time, been grooming him for a while, but he came in as an injury sub and had 3 goals 1 assist in his first game.
His quality looks pretty high, and since his OR is just about as high as the bottom of your top 20 players I see no reason not to play him.
You're goalie was amazing! I think he stopped 35 shots in the shutout. Ouch.
And then I screwed up the next game and left my back-up in. Not even my experienced back-up. Some new guy. Tough week in Bombsville.

Sorry about playing on Normal, taloncarde
I wanted to stick with Low, but I had to make up for the two loses last week. Especially the second one when I used the crap back-up.
And now I have to play the Attack. They're going to beat my ass, and that's going to be embarrassing. At least I won't be alone in that
I can't believe that guy quit with that team.

Hey no problem, that's how you play the game
I'm going to have to start playing on normal more than I like if I want to get anywhere in the playoffs. Or not play a new goalie, one or the other.

I wish I could be in that same situation. I've been goalie hunting for over a month now. It's very frustrating trying to buy a Buckley with very little money
As far as playing some games on Normal, I look at it like this. I'm not promoting this season. The top 2-3 teams are light years ahead. Even someone like the Oranges, who are maybe only a season ahead of me, can't stick in I.1. So I don't mind wasting some playoff energy to stay nearer the top of the regular season table. I know it's not going to happen, but I wouldn't mind stealing that silver trophy
Which brings me back to the first point. Stick with the new goalie. We have similar teams. Neither likely to promote, and if we do, we certainly aren't going to do anything in I.1. Now is the time to get younger players into the line-up. Get them valuable experience. The regular season and playoffs don't really matter right now. We just have to do enough to get into the playoffs so we don't hurt our sponsor offers too bad.
Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I like to run my team=)

Yep that's the plan, i got lucky and got a pretty good goalie via academy, and bought one on the market who was in need of a lot of training, both are at a point that raw ability wise.
Just trying to get the experience/chem for them, and deciding which of the 2 to go with

It seems to me that in all of the various hockey games like this...the single most important factor is a great goalie. You might be able to steal a game here or there with great forwards and defense, but to win consistently you need a great goalie.
It is no real surprise that Force has been dominating US hockey with a goalie like Buckley. Granted he didn't have him the first season, but we were all a lot closer back than and he is a good manager. Once Buckley was drafted...well we all know how that has played out. Not taking anything from Force's ability to manage his team, but having a dominant goalie certainly doesn't hurt

Yeah. Leggmann could probably coast along doing very little to his team with Buckley in net and still dominate for several more seasons. He's the reason why I'm putting facilities on hold for a bit. I'm getting a stud goalie this season if it kills me.
Maybe

Is it between Galecki and the Swede? I would stick with Galecki unless his Qs are much worse than Sandström's. He's two years younger and already has more OR.
You have FOUR goalies with more OR than my starter. Grrr. Just one more reason for me to spend too much money on a stinking goalie.
