It did not happen.
One thing that really burns is that I asked about it in the PowerPlay magazine article and sent messages to two of the developers about it and did not even get a simple no as an answer.
How busy are these guys?
I've spent a few bucks over the last 4 years on their PowerPlay games and that may soon come to an end.

I was at PPM HQ a few weeks ago. Vlady and Dario, while overseeing PPM, don't log into the game all that often as their time is invested elsewhere (per orders). If you need them, email is about the only way. I know if you email Dario or Vlady, they WILL get back to you in a day or two. A PPM message, you won't hear until they log in again which could be a month.

I received a reply today with a explanation and I do not agree with it, something just doesn't jibe.

If you sign a deal that doesn't have a bonus, the pay will just increase per the change in league factor. They need to give you a chance if it is bonus-based as your opposition and thus target wins will change.

What was their explanation?

Well, I don't know what's going on with the sponsor offers this season but I keep getting 1 and 2 star offers across the board (except media). I finished higher than last season and I'll be getting less cash over the next if this keeps up.

Is it just me? Am I just having a string of bad luck? Was I just lucky last season? Man I hate random sometimes...

I think we lost a league level which will reduce our sponsor offers. We're down to div3 now yes? No more div4.

Granted star levels are randomized.

I went from 11.5mil per week to 10,621,523... didn't get a single offer over 3 stars, and the 3 stars was also lower than my previous one...

Skyboxes I managed to increase by 30k total, and media is actually + 1.5mil so at least the total is higher. It's a good thing I don't really need all that money. Since I can never seem to be on for the bid wars on good market buys, ya know xD

That's just crap luck man, been there before. Penny saved is a penny earned. See if you can't trim expenses to compensate for the lost income.

I actually went up this season for the first time in awhile.

My level 14 Human resources and economic department was completed just 2 days before the new offers came in. I got a nice bump of 6.7 mil per week.

My media sponsor offers sucked for the 3 days. I got 2, 3 and 1 stars on each respective day, though even the 1 star was a good 15M more than last year (about 61M vs 45M). I decided to take the random contract instead of the 3rd day offer, assuming it couldn't be worse, and got rewarded with a 5-star, 69.5M sponsor. I had similar luck with my G-level skybox, though I wound up with a +400k 3-star deal after 2 1s and a 2. Got a 4-star general sponsor for 124.5M (up about 15M) on day 1 as well as 3 5-stars on my other 3 skyboxes for an increase of about 1M per.

In short, I'm pretty happy with my sponsors this season.

I am sure we all know this but if less teams means less money then being nice to newcomers pays. We make a point of scheduling 5-6 friendlies against "wet behind the ears" newcomers so our kids can play and still win by big scores providing cheap gratification for our management. Our hapless victim gets a decent payday and one of our dime-a-dozen pucks and hopefully this helps to keep them in the game. We all win...
