I am sure that you have special advanced tactics for the U18 team. Just like your club team. You have cleverly upgraded from "old, broke and relegated" to "young, rich and relegated piling up on high draft picks" in the Sammy/Scammy-like exploit a PPM loophole manner. I am sure it will provide temporary relief. Unfortunately, I really doubt this great game will be around long enough for the wheel to turn and Free Agency bankrupt your club again and the relegation that will likely come with it...

Lol dude. You should be happy my team got bankrupted. That's the system at work. I don't know what loophole you are referring to. I am not trying to do anything. I am just trying to stick around so we don't lose another active manager even though my interest level is at an all time low. He's referring to the loophole chapter entitled "Common sense, and the effects of simple math on OTR"!
The advancement to Division one followed by a subsequent relegation to a lower Division two league, can have
devastating effects on a team's OTR if it is repeated several successive times.
A team that advances to a higher division where it is only capable of winning a single digit number of games,
will have lost more OTR value than it an recover the next season, even if it goes undefeated the following season after relegation to a lower league.
Repeat that a couple of times, and the effects on attendance, souvenir sales, and loss of sponsorship revenues can cripple a team for more than a few seasons.!!
No wonder team managers are asking me if there is a way to avoid promotion, when they know their team is not ready to compete at the higher level.!!
They know that promotion will not help their team OTR, but are afraid of the sponsorship penalties they will incur if they deliberately lose in the playoffs.
It's a simple matter of what strategy is best for your team long term at the time.

Ils savent que la promotion n'aidera pas leur équipe en OTR, mais ils craignent les pénalités de commandite qu'ils encourraient s'ils perdaient délibérément les séries éliminatoires. Il s'agit simplement de déterminer la stratégie qui convient le mieux à votre équipe à long terme.

As for Bobby, I have never heard "disappointing hot dog sales" as an excuse for ones bankruptcy. Usually its FA, since the money there is big, but I guess based on your history as Canada's Division 1 version of a yoyo that you would know best. My suggestion to this problem, as most teams do, is to stop being the PPM yoyo. We all go through a couple of seasons of transition and then settle down, usually in the higher league. But I guess with your arena's hot dog issues that never worked out aye? Man, that's tough.

Well, load up on your kids Bobby. If nothing else, the next time Div 1 sees you your team will draw lots of oooohs and aaaahs. So many that the FA bidding prices will go through the roof and you can start the whole yoyo show again.

I don't recall ever going bankrupt, and I certainly wouldn't use low hot dog sales as the reason.
Once again, I suggest you fire your research assistant for incompetence, or at least get her to stop explaining her findings to you in either of our two official languages.
You seem to be able to recognize only some of the words, and appear to have less than a rudimentary knowledge of what they actually mean.
Maybe she could try using really simple pictures.
Also, you might consider contacting some of the managers who are now struggling with the yoyo issues that are far more pronounced with less teams.
They will tell you it is a different set of circumstances now, than when you were in the same position.

Thank you mat601 for giving me a different perspective on some of this games strategies.
After observing the strategies used by mat601 last season, the objective this season , is to use some of his strategies that show promise, in conjunction with ones that have proven to be successful in the past, to increase the probability of success this season.
