Crosby out again. could he be done after this season? If he can't take a normal hit without taking days off now he could be ruined.
I believe TheChad requested this. Anyways, I made a quick map of the new realignment of the NHL what the "zones" are.

Like I said, it all makes geographic sense except for FLO and TBL. Snowbirds have to be the cause...
They are just preparing for the upcoming transfer of Phoenix to Quebec or Hamilton. If you are the FLO and TBL GM, this new setup just don't make sense, unless they said that this configuration would be temporary until the Phoenix situation is settled.
Then again, you can't put FLO and TBL with the southern teams because the Blues are your biggest draw of the 7 teams out there.

That's probably another thing. Imagine the southern loop? Stl, Flo, TBL, Car... it'd be the sunshine loop with stadiums full of air and no fans.
Thanks canucks.
That is definitely weird.
I wonder why the east coast is so dominate in terms of team numbers.

*Computer/technical question, feel free to skip*
Does anyone know a thing or two about laptops? My old one just died. It shut off and wouldn't turn back on, with, or without the battery. None of the indicator lights would even come on. Suspecting a blown DC Jack, I took the whole thing apart. Jack looks fine.
I just spent 3 hours taking apart every single piece, rechecking all the connections, and rebuilding it. Now, I can get it to power on (oddly, it will only turn on if I only have 1 memory stick in, and it doesnt matter which slot, but fill both slots, and u get nothing). The monitor won't turn on, but if I connect an external monitor, it will show the computer attempting to load windows (which never loads, just hangs on the loading screen).
Starting to think the main board is shot.
Anyone ever have something like this happen before that could offer a solution? Or should I just go smash the shite out of this thing?

Middle america and the midwest are too obsessed with football to care about hockey. If they're not watching their NFL team, then they're watching college, or high school football.
I dropped a laptop once and a similar thing happened. One of the RAM cards was pooched, just a matter of swapping them around until I saw which one wasn't working. Happened to my desktop too in a lightning storm.
My first suggestion would be to figure out, which you have, which RAM is pooched. If you can get it working on an external monitor it's likely a connection problem with your laptop screen.

tried both sticks of ram, together, and individually in both slots, still nothing. I faintly see a screen that says "computer won't start, attempting to fix problem" left it on that screen overnight and its was still hanging there in the morning. Signs point to the ram being pooched, possibly the hd, and the video card. Coupled with the fact that the HDMI converter I had being powered by the USB is now also screwed up (I stupidly did not have it powered through a surge protector at the time, and the electricity where I live is known to be a little wavy).
I'm about fed up with it now. I'd like to take the ram out of this new one and try it, but I'm afraid there is a short somewhere, and it may suffer the same fate. I might just get my last enjoyment out of it by smashing it to pieces. I should have a UPS for around here I think.
Thanks for your help though guys.

its producing an image now, but the backlighting on the monitor is clearly also fried.
batter up.
batter up.
If you all were here, we could hang it from ceiling and take turns swinging at it, like a porn filled pinata.
