Holy crap, Batman, has anyone noticed the increase in Staff Salaries at contract time? WOW, were we told this was going to happen or what?
Staff cost a bunch for many reasons. All I'll say is don't get caught paying some fancy staff to work in a shiat facility... not worth it. Instead, cap your staff's training so their salaries don't spiral out of control.
Definetely gonna have to do somethin. Have pretty good facilities, like my staff and they do a great job, but man, this is gettin crazy dood!!
You don't need anyone over 100 OR with your facilities. If you've maxed out financially (money in = money out during a week) you need to unload some staff salaries to continue to grow.
A few seasons ago my staff salaries got over $700k/day before I cleaned house. I should have realized how crazy things were getting long before that point. So much wasted money..
There was a thread a while ago where someone calculated how staff salaries work. It's exponential so salaries look fine for a while then really take off.

Salary is Constant*(Atty1^3+Atty2^3). In div1 that constant is 0.1 and it goes down with league level. I believe div2 is 0.09 or something.
Staff salary depends on division level and not just top attribute?
It depends on BOTH attributes and division level yes.
Bizarre... Why would division level matter? Does it drive salary up or down?
Higher div = slightly higher salary.

As if there aren't enough disadvantages to playing in a higher division... I should have relegated when I had the chance!
What do most of you try to keep your staff salaries around? right now I am just over $250k mostly on coaches and sporting directors with a little on Physiotherapists. Is that a lot? would I be better off without staff until my facilities are around level 12-13? Thanks for the advice in advance.
