I think that they are not so far in strength for that to happen (what actually did happen), and home ice advantage doesn't exist in NCup games.
Home ice advantage was nullified by opponent counter tactic. That difference of shots is given by better defence and offence of Kraljevina Srbija team.

I can show you a game, where the difference of team strength is only of 8 points (for home team), guest team had correct counter tactic, and it was played low vs normal, and barely had +3 shots !
Shooting doesn't have anything to do with the number of shots, afaik !
