Have you trained shooting already or not at all? I personnally train shooting (for forwards) between 66 and 80% of A1, depending on the quality. I train 50% for mid and 33% for defs...
Be like me. All my guys are working on a 60-40-30-25. And once they achieve that ( for both side and center just in case they have to play the other position) I am just letting shot go. Currently my highest shooter has 45 skill. And doing this I have noticed my shots wide and on target have gone through the roof. But then again, I could hinder myself later on while everyone else is working on higher bumdles.

For example the last 5 league games (not including nonames) I have outshot my opponent in each and every game.
Totals over the last 5 Games (except nonames)
Me 37-ST 35-SW = 5 Goals
Them 21-ST 24-SW = 2 Goals
That worked out to 2 wins and 3 draws.
The game that really drove me nuts being a scoreless draw was this one soccer.powerplaymanager.c...

Will you be jalous guys? soccer.powerplaym anager.... . Stefan Ariss has been rated 8 constantly for the last 1 or 2 weeks, while Jordan Carlisle has been rated 8 for the last fer games.
However, Yves Todd is now rated 9. And look at this team soccer.powerplaym anager.... : 1* 9, 7* 8, 2* 7... And [soccer_team=30040] has 2 players rated 9.

I can't figure out how to get guys passed 6. Hell I would like more 6's than 5's but I don't seem to get it. Yet I feel my players are getting on a nice build. And their positioning is correct with their player type? I just don't know....
Players need to be balanced... And also XP and chem appear to be very important...
Well since lots of the guys I;m rolling were on my team since day 1/season 1.

7 wins 3 draws
My team Rat for Starting 11 62 to 64
Individual top rating 7 (in almost every game)
But the MotM has never been the highest rated player.
