Do you not keep a reserve of cash at all times to pay free agent fees? I only bid on players once I have more than $300 million, and only bid the excess cash so that I can always cover any free agents worth covering.

Looking at your transfers, you've spent a decent amount of money bringing players in recently, but if you were doing that without having at least a $200 million buffer already in place, you were just setting yourself up to lose most of them.

To follow up, when you spend ~$75 million on a free agent aged player to bring him to your team, you should expect to keep having to spend that same amount every single season to hold on to him.
