I think it's a fair penalty for not fielding a team. A result like 45-15 is pretty standard for a blowout in international handball.

blowout??? look at the last results, we dont see games like that.

the only "blowout" were from chile and still it was 21 goals. All others were pretty close games and none were more than 10 goals!

the competition is short and heavily affect the teams not involved in the match as the "winning" team gains heavy advantage

I counted 4 matches over 10 goals on 112 games. that is 9%!!!
so 10 goals would be more than enough to penalize a team.

i seems most leagues will use 10 goals penalty.

and those are for LEAGUES where there are many many matches. In a short competition anything more than 10 is too much

if you feel you want to penalize the team that forfeit, do add negative goals to the losing team ONLY. If the "winning" team gains more than 10 goals this team will have major advantage as nobody else will be able to catch up with the difference and thus the "winning" team will have the advantage to advance in case of same points (goal differential)

also need to point out that the winning team also benefit from not having to play so players did not lose energy. that is also a huge advantage.

In EHF (European Handball Federation) it is more punishing: "6.5. In case of failure to play a scheduled qualification match, the entry fee, the lump-sum advance payment and the solidarity contribution must be forfeit to the credit of the EHF and the Member Federation may be fined up to € 35,000. Current 45:15 is punishing for losing team, but very beneficial to winning team. Energy saving aside, they got very high coefficient, and it is mostly impossible to win by such difference in World Championship.

In no way we are against punishing such forfeits, but just benefits are too great for being the winning side in this. My personal choice would be 15 point difference.

even 15 would be too much considering only 9% of the matches had more than 10 goals differential. The winning team also got the energy saving as bonus

maybe the result as 10 gols for the winning team and -15 for the losing one (or even more)

while i am in favor of punishing a team that forfeit a match (that should never happen in NT competition) but against in a way that would only benefit one team: the winning one.

when we looked at competitions, those were all league. a 15 goal penalty in a league (with 14 teams and 52 matches) has much less impact than a league with 5 teams and only 8 matches.

alright. we can change the forfeit result to 10-0 from the next season.

Why are two Latvians who played the finals yesterday, less trained than other players, all players are in my training camp and training them on average from 2.50 to 3.10, so it is today except Latvians who trained 1.45 and 1.35

I have the same problem with my Poland GK that played in that final. Also the same problem in basketball with my 2 players who are in camp and played yesterday in WC.

Have the same problem in handball for my slovenian and latvian player.

and this was only problem on that 1 day?
