So... what is going to happen with our national teams? We don't have a candidate for the adult team.

Someone could probably ask the staff to make them the manager (I don't really want to right now). I think I've seen that done from time to time.

In the worse case scenario, the team might just keep the same roster, not schedule exhibitions, and play randomly generated lineups (likely losing every game).

At least in handball, there is only one level, so we don't have to worry about demoting. We'll just drop in the rankings and struggle to rise for 2-4 seasons. This might result in slightly more challenging competition during that period. The chemistry of the players might be messed up a bit for next season too.

I'm down to try to manage, though I dont know a ton about the specifics of managing a national team. I had noticed as well the absence of candidates, was going to sign up if no one else did, but didnt know there wouldn't be an option. U19 might be a bigger priority there? Either way, I'm willing to help out

I just tried to send a challenge to the USA U19 team and realized there wasn't a manager. It's a shame.

But I will support that one of you can send a message to be made the NT manager, as I've done it a few seasons back when no one had taken the job. And U19 might indeed be a bigger priority, since there is a much higher rollover of players and you will likely be getting forfeits all season without a manager.

I think there is a little confusion. We do have a coach for the U-19 NT. Their name is HOCHE. I am a coach for the U-21 team and we don't have anybody for the senior NT.

Oops. It seems in my sleep-deprived stupor I was actually sending challenges to senior NT teams for the U19. Oh geez...

Been there! Done that! Didn't always catch it! Easy enough to do , even after a nap and black coffee!

In any case, if AltairEzio or anyone else wants to take over in that way, the relevant staff member can consider this post evidence of support for doing so.

Congrats and thanks for taking over coaching the national team. Make sure you try to find friendly games for all those open spots in your calendar. You can offer them to other teams through their calendar. You can offer the games to all ages of the teams, so you should be able to find someone with open spot on those days.

At this point you might have to send a message to the managers of the likely small number of teams left with open slots let them know you've sent a challenge if they aren't accepting your challenges.
