More unlucky this game was, because you played at home. My opinion is that in playoffs home team advantage is much bigger than in regular season.
I won my game 7:2 hockey.powerplaymanager.c... at home, but lost 2:5 hockey.powerplaymanager.c... when playing away. Tactics were equal.
Now I can play only for 5-8 place.

Actually You have very similar game to mine, beat him at tactic and shots, higher importance. Only what I can say, he has very good GK and high shooting skill, because of that he won.

As I said - if tactics and importance was equal, he should be stronger. Next season even more because of shooting importance. But now, I think not.

Yesterday the Islanders beat the Thrashers 4-1. On paper, the Thrashers have a better, stronger team, and "should" have won. But, they lost.

Next season is going to be great because it will mean less impact by tactics, and more need for managers to actually strategically build their team.

This yours is particularly strange because even he had stronger team and tactic, he had lesser amount of shots, and more faceoffs. I'm used to games where it's quite opposite (more shots but lesser facoffs). It could be because of penalties, but not so drastic.

Why should my opponent won ? Because he has stronger goalie, better shooting, and his second and third line are better. He should be having more chances for win if importance and tactics are all the same.

Next season with smaller tactic impact, could mean we will finally stop moaning about less probable results. Because we wouldn't have anything to stick to
How could anybody explain why he had to win a game? There will be hidden influences all over the place
