You should stay in II.1. You wouldn't want to get stuck with that $41 million in prize money for promoting. You would also lose less OTR to help counter the diminished ability to improve your OTR. You would also get better sponsors.

You should get a lot of money from selling those players (even though they are a bit old). You should be able to significantly improve your arena and help guarantee your future success. Since you seem to effectively be rebuilding, you could probably use as much money as you could get (which would best be invested in further money making infrastructure).

I almost let myself be tempted to make a bid on one or two of the players on the market; unfortunately, I need to save the money to upgrade 4-5 of my other stands to triples.

These are all good points. I think with the added promotion money, plus a large loan, I'll be able to upgrade the rest of my stands to minimum capacity triple floors. And of course, when I demote, I'll be place in a different league. If it's II.1 or II.4, it should be easier to stay on top. If it's II.3, it'll be more difficult, but the added competitiveness would make it more fun.

I guess I'll just play for the win and hope that it works out either way.

Too bad. With all of your sales, my team and maybe the Cobras will be competitive with you for the second spot. The Bruisers should be the favorite, but not by enough to guarantee a promotion. Next season should be interesting.

Why are you selling Tommerup? If he were a year younger, he might have been considered for a national team.

You made a good profit off of your sales. It might turn out to be enough to buy one max triple ahead of schedule.

I'm also hoping to build up my training and regen. Once those are higher, I'll get some new younger guys. I figured since I have Sefczik (or however the hell you spell his last name) under contract for the next 3 seasons, which is how long it should take for me to get 14 training, it would be useless to keep Tommerup. He would only be a little better than Sefczik, but he would have very low experience.

...It makes sense in my head. Haha.

Also, he will probably drop to 3/6 when he is 21 or 22.

The Hungarian guy won't improve any more and Tommerup is probably already almost as good as him, even after factoring in experience. Tommerup could have been a great goalie even with bad training facilities; now your goaltending might lag a bit.

Even so, I plan to do almost the same thing. I am keeping all of my old players until I significantly improve my arena, training facilitiy, and regeneration facility, and then I will sell them (hopefully after promoting at least once) and rebuild. I'm also selling all of my players under about 19 years old and replacing those players with cheap 15 year to train and sell.

Very nice. Depending on how much money I am generating, I will be looking for potential U18 national team candidates to build my team around. I figure if I keep them in my lineup to build up exp, they'll be ready for a decent I.1 push by the time they're 22 or 23. It's a very long term plan, and there are some questionable factors in it, but I think it'll work out in the end.

I'm still trying to devise a plan to become the #1 or #2 team in the country... it isn't working out too well.

I had to replace my injured defenseman with Tommerup, meaning my defense suffered heavily. Apparently I sold too many of my defensemen, considering I don't have any backups and I have two left sided defensemen on my fourth line. Oops.
