Very sad indeed. Understandable, but still sad.
You shouldn't quit. You perceive the advantage because we're still building up the arenas and facilities. Once there are, say, 100+ managers maxed out it all comes down to staff quality and, of course, players.
Leggman is of course pretty good at this game - he does quite well in hockey and soccer - but he got real lucky by having Buckley on his team from early on.
I am jealous of his team but I am only focused on building up my facilities and arena and then hope to win something later on because, as you say, right now the differences are staggering.
But then again, I don't think it would be good to penalize him. He's put himself in that position by being smart at managing his team and market. I think the game is pretty fair as far as games day-to-day. And as I said, once we all get the facilities maxed out it will be a different game. Just stick around to build up those and then see if there are any disadvantages.

i wonder if the devs added a revenue sharing system to the leagues, would that make the competition more even and give the start-ups an extra stimulus n flicker of hope to move up and compete with the big boys...or even the bottom of 1.1 to compete with the Force. It happens in the pro leagues, why not on here?
It's more that it is frustrating to pay for a pro pack and know that you're not even CLOSE to competitive and the gap in income still grows larger every season.
I have to tell you, when Leggman told how much he was making per week, it made me sick. Would not be so bad if he earned his way up, but he was put there since day one. I mean wow, 47 mil vs 7 mil.
He wasn't "put" there - he had a good goalie to start and he made really good choices to stay up there. He's in the top 2-3 in the entire game so don't think that he's just some lucky duck.
The gap is huge and not going to be overcome for a very very long time but you can still get into all sorts of other leagues and do well in I.1.

This is why I've stayed in II.2 - the ONLY way to catch up is via OTR and if you're not first you're last as far as how you grow OTR..... So in the end you just end up slowly whittling down and falling behind UNLESS you're down a division and winning OR if you make really huge runs into the national cup. The biggest Kicker is that if you get into the post season tournaments then you get HUGE OTR boosts for even losing so they just keep the top teams even further ahead.
I have been here since season one also, and leggman has been in div 1 since season 1. This placement has always bothered me, it was never fair to anyone who started lower. the poor people who start the game now, will be lucky to compete in 10-12 seasons. i am in div 2 and it would be 10-12 seasons before i can compete. I am not asking anyone to take my stand, i just know that i am done because, 47 mil vs 7 mil is not in anyway fair to someone who started the game at the same time.
I agree somewhat. It just makes me think how the Loan system would help close the gap. It has not been implemented yet but teams such as Leggman's have players that would be in my top line if that system was live. It would help him but also me top move up the standings.
Another thing I would recommend is that if you have a 15 year old who you think is good, and you don't really play him that much (how much is up for debate), say for 3 seasons, then you just lose him. It would force teams to play a handful of youngsters they believe are really good for their team's future. But it would also lead to some good ones but not great ones for a team to go and find another team. I'd make a rule that says such players go to lower level teams on a free, draft style.

...continued:
So then a top team has a fairly good 18 year old who's trained in high quality facilities that goes off to a team that will probably put him on the top line right away.
Or that youngster could be sold off at, say 16, to a team that will actually put him in the lineup.
Idk, what do ppl think?

In the beginning there isn't that big of a difference between leagues as far as money goes. As the seasons go on, yes it starts to seperate itself. But in the beginning Leggman or anybody else in league I.1 didn't have that big of an advantage than the lower leagues. Just because managers such as Leggy did a better job managing than you doesn't mean he should be faulted for that. And there are only like 4 teams left in league I.1 that started there and have been there the whole time. So obviously it didn't help the other 16 teams that started there. I do agree that teams that start now will take a long time to compete with the upper teams. But if you started in season 1 you don't really have that much to complain about. Don't get me wrong, seeing how much some of the top teams make is discouraging to me too but thats what they deserve for making all the right moves as manager.
I think they just need to find a way to stop the top teams from running away so damn far without being too cruel to them. The desparity is huge for certain - most of our top teams would get destroyed in another countries league III. The games economics are just a bit off.
BUT and this is the reason why the game is so great, the player management, development and tactical choices are top notch. It is a great game in that regard, if they can keep a focus on those things that got them there then the game will be awesome for time to come. The top teams are so far away that I just don't care but I do really enjoy all the other aspects. I don't think it will take 10-12 seasons either mord, much less time than that - I'd stick it out and keep going, next season you'll be close to promoting and the season after that you'll probably be the top team in II.2.

not to mention Mord's the one who personally helped me better understand how to work the great things about the game. Even gave me a morale boost, tellin' me I had a pretty good team for someone only in their first month haha. I'd be pretty sad to see ya go.
I would be interested in seeing total cash for all 7 seasons from some of the teams who have been in div 1 since start. I fully expected Leggman, Flyersjunkie and Blakkat and others to have a clear advantage, that is fair. But i expected it to be 40 -60 mil per season, not 40 mil per week. Seeing that number sucked the fun right out of me. Cannuks told me to wait a week before i do soemthing i regret, so I will think some more, as i really do love this game, even when i mess with Blakkat!!

Where do you get that I had this huge head start from? I started League II.1 and was there for 2 seaons. Season 3 is when I finally promoted. The exaxt same thing happened with Flyers. We all started when you did. Vowels started in league III and made it up to league 1 when Flyers and I did. So it was possible for anyone to have acomplished what we have done. We all started in the same boat.
