Could be true, guess I never had defender red carded with the settings on
Can someone answer me why did my central defender get rating 3 today when usually he gets 7?
Todays match:
soccer.powerplaymanager.c...
I started with 2 CD's but switched them for a central midfielder and a fresh CD (the one in question).
Since the score is still tied the same CD is substituted for a striker after only 20 min of playing but that shouldn't be the reason, right?
Here's my substitute plan picture:

And the game where he got rating 7:

He is in a different position. But not sure I know why his rating may have dropped. Perhaps it saved his rating as the position the new player was subbed into? I have no idea. This is a good one. Your subs look fine from here. And the difference between RCB and CCB shouldn't be anything major like that.
The player in question got placed directly in the CB. Not one spot to the left or right. Direct middle.
And even if he did put on the spot of the palyer he switched for, that's still the CB position just on to the right, as you said.
His chemistry and energy haven't dropped by much since the game he got rating 7 was only a week ago and I think he didn't even play after that.
Btw he's trained as a CB if that's not obvious yet.

We've been suggesting this for a LONG time. They need a regular forum system with a much easier and better structured layout.
Indeed.
Any thoughts on my issue above? Should I report it as a bug cause it seems no one has an explanation for this?

No idea i'm afraid. I notice that the opposition put 0 shots on target, so it's possible the game engine saw he had less of a role in the game than usual.
That is an old bug. Players that are substituted on and off the field again in the same match somehow get a rating as if they would have played as a goalie. That's why this player today has one game as a goalie. Happened to me (and others) before. Vlady said it's just the shown rating that is wrong, not the performance of the player. This is a bug for some time now, don't know why they haven't changed it yet.
Oh..
So he actually did play on the CB position and he contributed to the team as a CB but visually it looks like he played as a goalie?

Actually, this is how my striker now happens to be a two times national team goalkeeper! Quite impressing...
And I bet he didn't receive a single goal!
Thanks for solving my mystery.

1 half: low vs high 9:1 in shots
2. half: low vs very low 3:8 in shots
soccer.powerplaymanager.c...
Does switching importance really work fine?

I have the same question -
Few times this season it wasn't logical statistics.
