no vlady, i am not exaggerating. I am playing ice hockey since my childhood. I know how small/big differences in stickhandling, skating,balance, agility, speed, experience, shoot-technic...... between two teams can influence the game result. Thats reality, no exaggeration. .

and i agree with you. too much random and i dont believe that there are removed good and bad days for goalies... do my forwards ar pussies if they cant break opponent goalie in league games?

So there really was a bug and player's experience was not affecting his salary. I can't help it, but I have to add this: I have written somwhere on international forums very long time ago, that there seems to be no experience influence on player salaries. There was no response to that post. And as there is no search function for forums, I can't prove it either.

And how does that skating/balance/speed/experience etc account for the puck bouncing at a funny angle off the glass behind the net, into the back of the goalie's head and into the net?

You guys need to think of this more like a Dungeons and Dragons game. My winger casts shot, he has a bonus to his shot based on factors (tech, offense, shoot, etc) whatever they are. So i 'roll a dice' to see if I pass the skill check

Then the goalie casts "Save" to block "shot" and they factor in certain bonuses based on their skills, and they have a certain roll to make to successfully cast "save", and that may also include penalties based on the strength of the "shot" cast.

If you haven't ever played Dungeons and Dragons or some variation of it this may make no sense, but that's how I see the "random" as you guys seem to call it as part of the game engine.

I know what you're saying and that's exactly how I think of it. I don't take the commentary literally... only use it to get hints about my team (like if one guy is constantly messing up).

It was the best term I could think of But i'm familiar with the idea of how this is possibly designed from playing EHM in all it's variations, and they used similar "skill checks" so to speak

do i have something done to ppm team that my team is constantly loosing? thats some kind of revenge? today again. what are odds that goalie will save all 41!!! shots? its almosts imposible with my shooting compared to my oponent and he scored 3 goals on slight better goalies. and this is not just 1 game. it happens every league game this season except first one.

Any idea why I'm 4-0 at home with 21:6 GD and 0-4 on the road with 5:16 GD? I'm 1st in the league at home and last on the road. Something will give eventually but is there a team travel facility or add-on that I missed and haven't upgraded!??!

lets imagine that it happens every game once or twice. In real ice hockey a clear better team dont have to fear such kind of luck, because if it have to take such kind of goal(s) it shoots 10 more.
The weaker team can be happy if it sees the red line. A much stronger team plays you so dizzy in your own zone that you think that they play 5 on 3. the goalie can have the best day of his life, he would be powerless after 10 minutes. Any tactics does not help you against much better teams cause you will not have enough time to think about what your coach said and you will not touch the puck long enough. I know what i am talking about i have played against much better/weaker teams a lot of times. The current engine is far away from the reality.

I just mean you can't say there is no chance/luck in Hockey. Yes, a better team will get more chances like you are saying. And i'm not saying that this engine is "perfect" otherwise they would not continue to upgrade it.

But what you aren't getting what i'm saying is some of the chance in this game that attempts to emulate real life is also based on things like when you take your shot, does the D-man get his stick in the way on time? If not, does the goalie get across to make the save? You can't control those things, the opposition does. That is where the chance comes in to determine the outcome of those types of events.

That what you talking about "get his stick... goalie get across..." is right and you also cant control those thing, but this works in games between teams on the same level.

If i have a much weaker defender between me and the goalie i can avoid that he get his stick in my shot. juts one deke is enough to get him and his stick out of my way. if two players appears in front of the goalie and he gets across to make the save, what will happen if the player who got the pass, pass it back instead of shooting....? thats it for the goalie And if you think that there is no time to pass it back you are wrong. As i allready said a much better team will play your line AND the goalie so dizzy that your stick or anything else cant help you. Its hard for the weaker team, but that is hockey in reality!

If you play hockey in a league with big difference between some teams you should understand what i mean. To watch NHL on TV or live is not enough, especially because the difference between the teams in the NHL or other professional leagues isnt that like on PPM.

I do play, so I understand what you mean, but just because you are better than a player doesn't mean you will beat them every time, sometimes that defender still makes the check, sometimes you hit a soft spot on the ice and lose the puck, sometimes you get caught up in the moment and make a bad decision. That is where the chance occurs.

9 times out of 10 you may go around that player and make the shot, but for whatever reason, 1 out of 10 times he stops you. The "random" is to simulate those chances.
