I've always been of the opinion that when in doubt, play a guy on his preferred side. Better to play it safe than take a risky gamble, especially in important games.
Given that from memory it was you that told me that side didnt matter on the pp ill stick with that.
Also are we going to get some indication of how well our pp and pk are doing? So far we dont have anything except for goals/pp which isnt very good.

oh and the guide wasnt always written like that. That sentence has been added/changed at somepoint, maybe not in the last few seasons but definately wasnt there at the beginning.
I just dont read the guide very often. I rely on the guide updates thread which i see hasnt been updated this time with all the updates..

you're right, by always I means for a very long time.
I thought a news about changes was enough and that there was no need to put the updates into that thread.

your only indication will remain your PP and PK percentage, but that is all that matters, isnt it?
Will it be noticeable which kind of PP/PK rival played?
Question about new PK and PP tactics, just 2 examples:
"Umbrella: This power play has only one player on the point who works as the quarterback for the power play. His task is to deal passes to the players at the boards who may then shoot or pass the puck."
Who is the man on point? Center? RD? LD? It is very important.. I believe that engine in PP recognizes if there is Center with passing 100 and attack 200 or defender with attack 40 and passing 80... It would be important to fill the guide if it matters so we know where to put someone for some tactics.
also,
"Diamond: When you play diamond on the penalty kill, your players form a diamond shape. One player guards the area in front of the net and one player is closer to the blue line."
Who is the man that guard area in front of the net? LD, RD, RW or C? It is important as logic is that defender has to be very skillful (defence - so he can defend net, attack and passing as he can start quick counterattack).
It would be good to give some more info about all tactics if it is important to choose right players for right positions.

it doesnt really matter. the man at the top of the umbrella is a defenseman as a rule. it doesnt matter whether he is RD or LD.
same goes for diamond. the man who guards the net is a defenseman and the man who is on the other end is a forward.

Only pro users can see the percentage though. Unless you've changed that. So unless you're a pro user you will have to manually calculate how well your PP/PK is going
Increased importance of Shooting skill is not mentioned in the news for season 7. Is it implemented or not?
yes it is, as was mentioned earlier. But its not really increased importance, its more like a penalty for those who have really poor shooting compared to other attributes.

and it's still doesn't matter if i have one with overtrained attack and second with overtrained passing? because according to guide first one should choose to shoot more often then second one, so i wouldn't want to see him in top position giving "bad" passes or shooting being "tightly covered", when it's better to pass.

i would like to see things such as passes completed/not etc since a big thing about the pp is now quarterbacks etc.
