Yes. If selected for the NT they will play with the energy they finish with after their promo/releg game is over.
That happened to me on first national team season during the world cup. Then it wasn´t announced anywhere. It´s a pity that they haven´t change it.

As a general rule, if you have a player in a NT, do NOT play him in regular team matches on the same day.
I know quite a few NT managers actually tell all the managers who's players are on the team to do this, or they don't get NT selection.

I know I only have one preferential vote to give (for NT coach election), but how often can I give? I gave a preferential vote to a manager last year, but I do not want to give my vote to the same person this year. How do I change that?
I think you can change your vote anytime, but this week.
that's strange, would make more sense if you could not change it only during the actual election. this week is still just proposals of candidates, right?
yes, well votes are important for sunday night update when the final list of candidates is released... starting with monday they have no relevance...
go to the manager profile and click stop supporting this manager...then you'll have your support vote back 
thank you, but I don't see the option on the hockey team profile of the manager that I thought I was supporting. any way of finding out who I was supporting? I know it must be someone since nothing happens when I give my vote to someone....
It's on your team profile page, the National Team bit, it gives you how much support you're receiving and below that is who you're supporting.
thanks, in that case it might be a bug actually. It does not show that I am supporting anyone, but at the same time I am cannot seem to give my support to anyone ....
