only 2 I have who would qualify for the Calder are Crews (8-11) and Houck (not much) - there are probably some better youths out there.
As far as rookies go, Lionel Swenson has been great for me, 35GP 8G 14A 22Pts +6 6 3SS 1 AS
My only Selke nominee would be Juan Broughton... but I would think the nominees would come from Irr. Force, Americans, Psychos.. the best defensive teams in the league.
the guys I consider my top defensive forwards are Pemberton and Prusaks. Use them a lot on penalty killing and the PK got a lot worse in the 10 days Pemberton was out.
With your players its tough, because realistically, they could be up for (and win) every award.
I was amazed that Fairchild went the entire season w/o a minor... that guy's an unbelievable player. I was glad to see my guy, Broughton, with only 1 minor.

Fairchild is one of only 3 guys left from the original lineup...Starkey and Vickers are the others. Given that they'll be 20, 21 and 21 next year might be time to start looking for some replacements...
My best rookie has been Leonard Porter , who went 11-6-17, +1, in a very terrible team. He stared in the third like and now plays in the top line.
odd results for those two - would have thought you would have won with him on 'low' for both games. It's also odd to see both his goals from the 4th line today...
well, at this point it'll be Force and Americans moving on at 1 and 4.
We could end up 1,2,3,4; 1,2,4,6; 1,3,4,7 or 1,4,6,7 depending on tomorrow.

The Americans were the worst possible matchup for me in the first round. All the others, I could and have beaten. These guys had my number this year.
I think I might be heading down to league II this year. After sending half my team to camp and putting 3 of my starters on the market, Manville put a butt-whooping on me. Besides, I feel as though if I try I have no fear of being relegated but I also am a long way from competing for the top 8. I am good enough to belong here but not good enough to really compete in my opinion. Kind of stuck in limbo, always between that 10-13 place range. Maybe going down a year will do me some good. Just hope I can make it back up with all the good teams down there. Still don't know if I can actually purposely tank the next round or 2. Maybe my b-squad will make up my mind for me. lol
I might be going down too. I just don't have the goalie to compete up here anymore. Time to try and compete with teams on my level, which might help me win some money.
Thats exactly what I was thinking. I haven't checked it out thoroughly yet but I have to assume coming in top 3-5 in league II might be more money than 12th in league I. Plus you should have a better chance of getting player money from stats.
