if you were in II.1 (highest paying of the 2nd tier) and you finished regular season and playoffs in position 3 you would earn $8,749,415. Finish 12th in our league in both and you get $6,894,879. This is just the one example but it seems you could make more $$$ while building up OTR in the lower tier leagues (especially when you figure in player stats and potentially higher attendance)

that being said I'm trying my butt off to get my soccer team into I.1. Just find it more challenging and fun to be up with the big boys...of course the futballers have lost about 4 in a row including friendlies...

I'd still rather lose in I.1 and fight and lose than "gain OTR and $$" maybe I'm a fool, but that's just me.

I thought long and hard about tanking the playoffs and relegating. I strongly feel this game is just that f*d up that I would gain more by doing less in this case. I too however would rather compete at the best level regardless of how hard it is to sit after.

If I, err the moron has no scratches set, will it pull one from camp? or will it sub in randoms from my lineup.

not sure. I think if you have other (non-goalie) guys available it'd use them before pulling someone out of camp...

I like it better here too, that's why I've never tanked. But my point is that I don't need to tank to drop this season. I think whomever I'll be playing for the pro/rel fight is better than me. I will try though, I really will.

Thing is though, that staying in 14th place here does not do anything for your OTR. We know that weekly cash is based on that, and in that sense I'm falling way behind. So it's not just for season's end prizes as Leggs is saying. That's really pocket change compared to what one gets over the season. Right now, I'm making about half of what Leggs is making. I'm even making less than a playoff team in the League 2s.

I predicted this predicament!

Wiggly Pigs dropped down to our league and he had a hard time at first, but by mid season his team really took off and he's doing very well. At the same time Big D's team dropped down and they're still having trouble.

Boy, I had such a good (and admittedly lucky) season... all down the drain. The chances of my team getting this close to the Cup competitions again seems rather unlikely. I really needed to capitalize... not fun.
