That aside though, so you're ok with someone dominating and then losing on purpose, knowing full well that they may beat someone who actually WANTS to promote, even if it means being beaten a season later.

I have no problem because
- the team which is prevented going up is too weak for higher league
- stronger team is making him a favor in that way, because he will be able to tank also, in his team strength limits of course

The only problem would be if that team from lower league, wouldn't give a team from higher league chance to relegate.

How do you know he's too weak for the higher league? He's not being given the chance because some a$$hole screws him / her from ever getting the chance.

It's that kind of selfishness that pisses people off and make them quit playing the game.

Personally I would like to see PPM come down VERY HEAVY on people who sandbag!

Let also not forget the "Little Guys." Lots of people love to come on here and complain how the "Big Guys" whine about losses & things not being fair for them when they lose to (in their minds) lower teams. What about this situation where the others in league II or even III now have a team that year in and year out win the league beats up on them and then never promotes. Where is a sense of fairness to them. Now they are having there chances of growth being stunted by someone who though to do this first and has a huge head start.

I understand Opy reasons, but by no means do I agree with it. It's his way of trying to fight the system but I wish PPM would find a way to address this growing problem.

I can tell you that I'll for sure promote next season. I will be viable and able to make an income and improve my team. Therefore it's worth the move up - this is a MANAGEMENT SIM. I am doing the best I can to manage a winning team, it's a marathon not a sprint. I can see why people are angry but it's just a strategy just like everyone else, I found the best way to make my team viable, why would I pay money and go about a system I know is doomed to fail? Unless I was lucky enough to draft the best players ever repeatedly there is no way I can or would equal the top teams head start unless I kept at it for 15 seasons. I hope they put measures in place to make it beneficial to always promote and make it beneficial to be in the top 2/3rds of div I. Maybe unlock stadium sizes based on the league you're in, then if you demote you still get that "bonus" for making it to the top leage, each time you get to a higher tier you get something. Not something so great that it stops all other teams from making it and having the same few teams in place but something worthwhile for making it.

Good idea to unlock stuff according to the level of your league

Well this may sound crass, but i hope one day just when you're ready to promote that you lose to someone who then throws it in the next round, so you can feel what it's like to be at the losing end of this strategy.

You have to beat somone before throwing it to make that strategy sting I suppose. I've lost to everyone
