So... new promo/releg rules are in play. Hear me out here. I still think it's beneficial to get relegated then promoted. Get this, two scenarios.

A) Stay in I.1, finish middle of the pack again. Get 7mil sponsor money, another 7mil playoff money, gain another ±100 OTR... same every year. Lose 30% OTR and I'd be down from 350 to 245OTR.

-or-

B) Spend a year in div2, win the league and playoffs. Get 10mil for first, win some 25 games plus playoffs would give say 150-175 OTR and another 10mil for playoffs. PLUS. You only lose 15% of your OTR not 30% which at say 400OTR is 60OTR and I'd be down to 340OTR PLUS I'd get 3x season winnings for promotion bonus which would be another 30mil.

So to summarize:
A) 14million, 350 down to 245OTR
B) 50million, 400 down to 340OTR

I'd start I.1 with as much OTR as I have no heading into playoffs even AFTER I lost the 15%.

Anyone else think this new system favours promotion, great, but doesn't really stop people from dropping down. Am I missing something?

i actually have no issue with Izzax ending up No.1. This hes a great manager and has put together some great teams.

Just found it amusing that he will make No.1 because of the changes to the rules.

It was useful tactic before when player salaries were around 5000-6000. Salaries are raising rapidly these days, so fee for employing a large number of players that I payed was around 300.000 per day, and it was getting bigger.

What we have here (and I could answer to Cavaelen too) is system that has somehow to deal with different situations.
You have leagues like Slovakia, Czech, Latvia... that are full of strong teams even in II and III leagues.
Brasil, USA, Serbia... have strong I league and rather weak II leagues.
Turkey, Norway, Argentina... have weak teams even in I league, while their II leagues are close to extinct.

How on Earth can you reward similar teams equally and keep everyone happy ?
There will always be people who can find holes in system, and they shouldn't be crucified because of that. Bigger problem is when you get rewards by chance and luck, than finding a shortcut to more money.

I think the changes in OTR downsize and upsize are senseless.
They should only reduce attendance, or raise the ticket value for I.1, and that´s all.

The thing with ticket value is: how much? A decrease in 10% will only cost me 4mil/season if I go down to div2 and lose 10% my attendance. Even 50% would be around 20mil drop in ticket money. I'd make that up and more with the extra OTR and prize money boost.

Here's the thing: in the Premier League you get all the lucrative sponsorships... If you relegate down to the Championship, those sponsorships are much less lucrative. That's why teams who are relegated quite often do a fire sale of their best players to account for the lost income in sponsorships.

PPM should use the same model.

OTR is another thing... The fact that teams in III are rated higher than I.1 teams in the National Cup is a bit silly... I, too, would like to see it being League, then OTR for NC rankings for it to be more fair.

I suggested sort by league level then OTR.

Thus seeds 1-20 are I.1 teams sorted by OTR.
Seeds 21-100 are II.X teams sorted by OTR.
etc.

I've made that suggestion repeatedly to Vlady, and they say they are working on it.

What do you guys think of the current staff scenario? My staff cost about half of my daily expenses if not more. I'm slowly unloading extras but haven't decided on regulars yet. I am selling one guy, perhaps the best coach I've ever had. How much you think he will fetch? Anyone got any numbers on how much training will be impacted?
