All IV division will promote to III.1

taloncarde

Probably all go to III.1

If you look from II to III, III.1-4 all feed to II.1, III.5-8 feed II.2, etc

hockeydude25

Alright so this might seem like a dumb question, but how do the I.1 teams have such high OR on players. I like OR as a general review of player quality, but I can never seem to get players up to 600/700 etc. Is it just a matter of I missed on a few players or just a lot and lot of time grooming players?

tujague

Your Training & Regen are only at 10 & 8. The top teams in I.1 are above 10 on both. At least. A quick look shows Africville is 12/12, Vowelrifics and the Force are 13/12. That's how your players get better. You can't skimp on that.

hockeydude25

alright, ill make sure i get some funds there, thanks!

What exactly is the "Scratches" section of the game day lineup meant for? Is it worth filling out? And how?

trueblue55

The scratches are the substitutions. If you have a player who is injured that spot is automatically filled by a player in the equivalent position in the scratches section.

DarkAddiction

Its a great emergency system to fill out your lineup if you can't get to it, but frankly if I have an injury I redo my lineups manually to ensure the best lines are created.

For instance, if a first liner is injured you have a player that can't make your roster inserted in the first line. That is *not* the best solution.

Because I am on top of my team and actively manage it every day, I do not bother to fill scratches.

I am a new owner who has read hundreds of forum QA pages (USA, International, Canada). There are still unanswered questions, in my mind, however. So, I hope you won't mind if I pose my "Top 10 Noob Questions."
1. Please solve for X in this statement: "If an attribute has a quality below X, it's not worth your bother to train."
2. If i am training for a 2:1:1 ratio, is it more important that I even up the secondary attributes, or is it more important that i work my primary attribute up to twice the level of one of the secondaries?
3. I understand my first goal as a new owner is to build up my Big Four facilities. But, what about the other three? Do I ignore them until much later? Or, perhaps, should I build at a 2:1 ratio?
4. I notice that many of the top teams have only players ranging in age from 15 to 21? Why? Do players in this game lose their usefulness at 21?
5. Should I bother to scout my goalies, since I already know their best position and what three attributes I am going to train?
6. Does it matter much if I win friendlies? I have been playing my friendlies on very low intensity, but some Czech dude has played me four times on very high.
7. Why was I placed in III.7 to start my career when there are lower divisions?
8. The guide's reason for making a puck and collecting them is to get "every puck in the world collection." What the heck does that mean?
9. I upgraded my original 400-seat arena to 800 seats, but what arena build makes the most economic sense? Someone else here recommended large stand-up, max capacity, but gave no data to back up that contention.
10. If I want to cut a player, is it better to terminate his contract prematurely or just not auto-renew him?
Thanks so much for your help. I want to be a responsible owner and learn all i can.

1. Depends on what players you had in your team and what you want - up until last season i was training someone who only had 40 something as a quality.

2. The general consensus is that the primary will only be taken into full effect at twice the lowest secondary. Ie if you have 100:50:40 then this would be seen as close to 80:50:40.

3. Given your starting late i would ignore the education centre - you can pick up great staff off the market but staff in general are too expensive until you have huge stadiums and facilties and probably leave the maintenance for a little while too. I would put some time into medical to stop your players being injured though.

4. No just that after 6 seasons players starting out of the academy at 15 havent gotten much past that. The players that you start with will generally be surpassed by players you pull from the academy once the academy gets to a high enough level.

5. Yes - will help you know which is better long term. If there isnt much difference in their skills now play the better quality one even if worse as the experience will be worth it long term.
Another trick is to just train each of the skills in turn and write down how much they train for each. This will give a rough idea of qualities as the training is based off actual quals.

1. It depends on the qualities of other attributes and it also matters what is the low attribute. I'd say 50 is a limit if the qualities of other attributes is 80 but if the qualities of other attributes is 50, I wouldn't train the lowest attribute if it's below 35.

2. I can't answer that. It something you gotta find out by yourself. There's not official info to answer that either.

3. I'd upgrade them when I see it'll be cost effective. I think Medical centre is somehow important but I wouldn't spend millions upgrading maintenance and education at the beginning.

4. Players with 15 to 21 years have trained their best years in high facilities and they've also had higher OR when pulled. Older players have started their training with low OR in low level facilities. The game has only ran 7 seasons so far, you know.

5. If you scout them, you'll have a better clue if your goalie has a bright future or not so yes, scouting goalies is as important than scouting defenders.

6. No, it doesn't mean much.

7. A manager can start his career in the two lowest levels in the country.

8. You collect a puck from every league level of each country.

9. It depends on how much attendance you're getting. If there's 20 000 people willing to attend in your match, it's recommended to build the largest possible capacity but if you're struggling to get 1000 seats filled, I would only build medium or high stand ups.

10. If the player doesn't help you at all, it's better to determinate his contract.

I cannot answer all of the questions, but a couple i might help on. 2) if you set up the Auto Practice for a 2-1-1 ratio then the computer will target the attribute(s) which are most out balance and then train those.
3) To me the others of the facilities are pretty much your own choice.
5) personally i scout all of the players on my team, that way you can determine which players will train better and which ones will not be worth keeping in the long run.
8) you want to collect at least one puck from each team in each division in each country, etc . and if you do you get 50 free credits.
9) dont build up the arena seating too soon, when you start selling out the majority of your league matches, then start.
10) if you cut a player you pay half his remaining salary.but if you dont have too many days left on his contract it might be better to just let it run out.

6. Winning friendlies gets you extra Overall Team Rating 0.3 per game. Over time this adds up. However, it is not worth wasting your energy on. A win in the league is worth >3. So i would definately play all your friendlies on low. Either try and find matchups you can win sometimes or find someone with a big stadium who can make you both lots of money.

7. Cause there was a spot there that wasnt filled. If the other teams are much stronger then dont worry too much just focus on building you facilities.

8. It means a puck from each Country and league level. Eg Slovakia i, Slovakia ii, etc and then USA i, USA ii etc. etc

9. The large stand up is good because it is the cheapest stand that lets you get press centres. The press centres give you additional home ice advantage which is very useful.

10. Terminate the contract will save you half his remaining salary. So unless you dont have the cash to pay him out or really need that cash to be able to buy the next facility upgrade just terminate.

Two things:
2. I need to rephrase question No. 2: Should my first priority be to even up the secondary attributes? Or should my first priority be to build the primary attribute to twice the level of the lowest secondary attribute?
9. I found a good discussion on the Canada QA about the arena build question.
Thanks so much, fellas. I never expected to get this much help this quickly.

DarkAddiction

2. Build to twice lowest secondary first (your primary is primary after all)
