Maybe it has been answered before, but couldn't find the answer.
By training offense or defense in midfielders, do you get increased TEAM ratings, increased PLAYER ratings, both or nothing at all?
I have some MF players that could potentially train in offense, but am not sure if it's worth.

it will be reflected in the team strength, but not in a player rating. However, player rating does not tell the whole story. It only tells you how good that player is on the given position. A midfielder with good attacking skills is better at supporting offense.
So, 2 different teams can have same team strength even if players' ratings are different ?
Better yet, they can have the same player ratings but different team strength.
Do this also applies to "shot" skills for midfielders and defenceman?
no, the shooting skills are reflected in the ratings of forwards, a little bit also in the ratings of midfielders. For defenders it is not reflected anywhere, but it does play the same role as for any other player if they have a scoring chance
How about those teams that are intentionally relegated to lower divisions to get more money from sponsorship and prizes?
I mean, this is obviously a weird system, since in all football history we never had a club that intentionally went to relegation!!!
Relegation should be a BAD thing... Something to avoid at all costs, not a solution to get money.
I believe this is a major flaw in the current sponsorship/economy system and honestly I see no fun in playing in a league with rivals that make 42 matches with 42 wins and more than 250 goals in the season.

I just think its hard to win a game here with 1 forward even if you are much better team. Dont see Barsa and Real having that problem in real life.
5-3-2 is good formation for underdogs here but logic says that thay should be overrun in minutes with only 3 players in middle.
