So if this is a "hard choice" then your comparison example, "changing city limit to 250 km/h", should be a hard choice too. We all know it isn't though. Common sense says that.
In the next two paragraphs you go on and say that "both ways are right" to end up with a 'super' argument that changing it to 35 wouldn't be 'fun' cause then everyone would do it? Hillarious.
#1 What exactly does make it more fun the way it is now than to what BeeJay suggested? It's only 5 players, the teams that focus on masstraining/trading would still have high expenses but most teams would be able to send max number of players to camp and still play matches without paying additional taxes.
#2 You say it would be done by every team but at the moment most of the teams use the same camp technique: send MAX number of players for MAX number of days and if you fell short with players to play, buy additional ones for 10k and fire them after. I wonder if there's a single player who plays this game for a while now and contineously sends only e.g. 19 out of 22 possible players to camp for a duration of 5 days, instead of 7. So where's the fun in that?
#3 We all know this is a game and that the match engine has little to do with real life football but the general rules came from it, like having 11 players on the field, the team which scores more goals wins, the team with most points at the end of the season wins the league,... The "pay additional taxes for having more than 30 players" rule didn't come from RL.
I understand why they made it though and I'm not against it but BeeJay noticed a nice hole, if you wish, in the system and it actually does make sense to increase it to 35. Saying that it doesn't make sense or wouldn't make fun is outrageous.
I wouldn't have even participated in this discussion if it weren't for the horrible example and then even vlady said it's "perfect", oh dear..

while there are some similarities there is a huge difference:
in real life there are not only cities but highways, racing car tracks, etc. so if you have a car that can go very fast you have a place to drive it.
in ppm we only have cities. if we want to buy a fancy car that can drive 250 or 330 km/h we can only drive it in the cities... so we cannot use our car to the full potential without paying fine for speeding. we want our highways!

Again, in 1st comment you completely missed the point.
and about the rest:
#1 because if its allowed those 5 more players there would be 0 compromise needed to have the most out of that situation, for everyone. And in this way as currently is, obivously you need to make some decisions because if its not like that we wouldne be having this conversation.
Managerial game wich doesnat rwquest at least some compromises, and decisions is boring crap, in my opinion
#2 Yes, if they change this than EVRY team would do ALL the same. And in this way as is now, we have some teams sending players to camp in mid season, some sending less players than possible to camp, and some not sending them at all, some sending them for fewer days.
If you follow what other people do in this game you would see that there are all kinds of different things they do when sending players to camp.
Im not talking about "best" players...because remember, I league managers are in huge minority in this game, im talking generally what various managers do.
Yes, I guess most of them do what you said, but thats most of them, and according to what I have seen, heard, and being asked, its not even a big majority. And even that is their decision, if the number would get up to 35 than they would need no decision at all.
And thats is exactly where the fun is: you have to think, calculate and decide if its better for you to send all to camp, to whole 7 days and spend money on extra players, and taxes, or send less players to camp, or send for less days, or any other combination the manager think its best for his club
#3 As you can see there are other, besides me and and vlady who agree with me, and also others who dont agree with me, that is normal.
I understand your point of view, but have no reason to agree with it, because I believe this way is much better way.
I never said it doesant make sense what you are saying.
And yes, I can say I am 100% sure that making this change wold make game less fun, no matter what you think about it.
And if you joined this only because of that example that you just prooved me again that you have completely missing the whole point of that example. But that is ok. I dont really care. Im just discussing here about the 30/35 players issue and Im giving my own thoughts about why it should stay as is. Same as you are for your point of view.

You see, now you are just plain wrong.
IRL if you want to go over speed limit you go on race track - you will actually GET anywhere, but you drive the car fast.
And in PPM you can send all players to camp, and than loose all the games in those 7 days due too few player in the field. So yOu drove your car fast, but it didnt get you anywhere, because you were on race track.
IRL if you want to actually go somewhere you will have to obey the limits or pay the fine.
In PPM you will send less players to the camp or for less days, or...buy more and pay the price/tax.
I said city, it was metaphor, maybe I should say any road with speed limit. And huge majority of roads are like that, exceptions just confirms the rule.

Now this is a great example!
@ivan - You said 'crap'. Jk, no sense in arguing anymore it's not like the ppm team listens to us anyway.

I said crap, yes, why? Shouldnt I have said it?
And ofcourse it listens...new subs page is actually a request from huge number of managers. Sure it takes some time to make it work as intended, but its created only because managers asked it.
Same with those log in bonuses, community was unhappy, and it was changed from percantage based to a fixed value...

"Our sponsors are not satisfied with the performance of our team in the promotion/relegation match. These kind of matches complicate our negotiations with future sponsors as well."
Anyone know how much lower the offer will be? I will most likely loose the next game also as my players are in training camp. Can I expect 10-15-20% lower sponsorship offers?

Im a manager of my own team, send my own players to camp, but I cant cancel it??? What is the logic in this, Im not sending them to a Navy Seal training.
Impossible to say.
Did you put a weaker team up, or have a training camp?
Did you put a weaker team up, or have a training camp?
Where is the difference? If you have a camp the remaining team is usual a weaker one
Not always.
My reasoning was intent... putting up a weak team to lose on purpose is different to putting up a B team because you have a training camp.
And anyway, if it was a training camp you could have waited until after relegation / promotion games to hold it.
