Well, I like cricket very much (honestly). But I would never expect ppm to make a cricket manager because they most likely have no clue of that sport.
Which brings me to my point. I think they know a lot about the mechanics of handball which is a requirement to produce a good game. I'm not so sure if they have the right people for racing or tennis though. Anyway, these would probably have been the more interesting choices, from a players view.

Enough been said about attractiveness of some sport. These are just different opinions, some people like this, some that. I don't like handball, but I don't care. Because I already have problem with managing 2 teams in 2 different sports. Sometimes I neglect one, and very often I can't visit market for bargains like I did before.
We are slowly coming to a point where You should decide what to play and what You will pass. Partly because you will not be able to achieve managing everything, partly because it's just not Your cup of tea.

You have point here. I would probably also not be able to manage three teams properly. But (for me) it would be much more likely to try nevertheless if the coming sport was something new in terms of game mechanics.
And I'm not saying anything against some sport (actually I have nothing against handball per se). For me it's just about in-game fun.

Who doesn't like fun ?
But when you have too much fun for one day, you just know something's wrong.

I personally like cycling (daaa) although it's not even planned. From the incoming ones I would enjoy playing Biathlon or baseball, cause it's different. I knew little about hockey before PPM and that was interesting to learn about a previously barely known sport.
+1 for a PPM like cricket manager
I've played another Cricket manegr game for years now - the way a game lasts all day, and is ball-by-ball, actually makes it perfect for a text commentry kind of game. Take a look at the commentry on a real cricket match on cricinfo to see what I mean!

Baseball would be a very simple simulation engine to implement. Baseball itself is very stats driven - there have been algorithms that can accurately predict games to a high level of accuracy just using stats from past encounters. However, baseball is really only big in the USA and in select island countries (Cuba, Japan etc.). I can't foresee it being near the top of the list, or really even being made since the bulk of the managers aren't familiar with it and it would only be opening up a new sport for mostly existing managers.
After Soccer, cricket is actually the 2nd most popular sport in the world.
Field hockey and volleyball are also high on the list.
Interesting fact: While soccer is the most played sport in the world, Ice Hockey is the worlds most widely spread sport, being played in over 95% of the world.
Another interesting fact: Handball is not anywhere near the top 10 most played sports in the world.

Well, I like to get back to the choosing of leagues, will it be based on who registered first? Or will you finally drop this advantage for the mangers who found ppm first?
TBH I can see why Handball would be next, it shares a lot of things with the existing sports in terms of the infrastucture of the game, and its popular in the core userbase countries of PPM. Doubt I'll take the time though!
