but what is right or wrong. If the match has a 50-50 chance to go either way, then what can you do? Sometimes it goes one way, other times it goes other way. Or would you like an engine that would automatically give the win to the team playing higher importance or based on some other completely predictable calculation?

Maybe because there isnt a simple answer? Its a game of chance. You can stack the odds in your own favour but you can never guarantee victory.

I think nobody can expect to get a definite answer about a specific match. In the end it's all about probabilities. You can't really find the key to one single match.
But since we can't do the proper statistics, whenever someone comes along saying 'Why did I loose that match?' people try to analyze it and give an answer that seems appropriate to them. And I think that's perfectly ok.
In the above match it comes down to the home team that played on higher importance creating more chances. But it couldn't score with its rating 6 attackers against a 10 goalkeeper, meanwhile the other team could with better forwards against a 7 rated gk.
So I can just quote tb55: 'The loss sucks, but there is really nothing wrong with that result.'

When do NT coach elections end? There's not any info in the elections page nor in the help section about it... :-S

Predictablity is not what I am looking for in this game. I do truely enjoy this game. I get into it alot and have invested (propack) into it since day 1. I think what I get caught up in is the responses people give towards a game result. We all are guilty of if even you vlady. One day its beacuse the better team wins the next day it importance the next is due to a red card then next is because your not assured a goal with an oppent having a red card. My point was that any game result can be explained.

I know you have also stated that you can run a single game numerous times and I'm sure each result slighly differs due to chance & game factors but regardless which result happens all can be explanined or rationalized for those outcomes.

To make a long statement short you guys are doing great with this game keep up with the good work. I'll try not to get so emoitionally attached as I cant send PPM a bill for my 2 computer screens I broke when I lost important games. (thats a joke FYI)

I agree with your statement ,you try stack as many odds in your favor just like you would in black jack and hope to beat the "house."

Yes you should not expect a definite answer, but the way some answers are put in the forums you would think it's a definite answer. Lets say for arguement sake that the score was 1-0 for the other team. Everyone here including myself would say it due to importance and no one would see anything wrong with that answer. As vlady stated in a 50-50 game no result is really a wrong result. TB respose was good one, but it wasn't really a complete response. Not that he is responsible for giving one but with just the answer he gave he didn't acknowledge to the other person that he was home or that he played a higher importance to help improve there chance of sucess. Or going further to say that that person got scored on a by FK and that the higher agression and commiting more fouls was more than likely the ultimate reason for his loss. Again TB doenst have to do that but without fully addressing it the other player doens't really full answer to the famous "why did I lose" question.

I am not complaining about the game, the way its calculated, the result of the game that started this discussion, or that game should always let the better team win or anything like that. I just feel people get short changed or even incomplete answers. Now I need to get back to work so I can afford to buy more propack. Sorry for the long post.
