It should be 5% of the sum of all players income per player above 30. So your friend would pay 220% more, which means his players normally cost him around 33,6k. That makes a average income of 450. That is quite low, I don't know why one would have so many relatively weak players. If one has reasonable players things get expensive soon.
Captain should provide a very slight boost -if has any real effect at the moment- on team performance, not on -only- himself, according to his experience, imho...

I was just thinking out loud about how this would work in the game engine ...

I need a little advice here. I got a defender with 4 games played and 4 YC. Todays match, he got another YC. Its been debated, I know but isn't there any key skills/ratio that should help players play less "careless"?
