The ads are pointless. It's not like they want us to join, because we already did. I find the videos annoying and really lowers the enjoyment of the game 
In another thread, I heard that they would be regular video ads and that the PPM ads are just placeholders they are using to test.

Personally I believe that if we help PPM financially by being pro members we should be exempt from seeing advertising! I think the whole "see less advertising" is a terrible strategy by PPM considering how much we pay for pro as it is (not to mention all the other costs for pucks, etc).
Or, just use an extension for your browser that blocks ads, that will fix all the ad problems.

well if you are paying for the game they are getting money from you, and if you arent paying and watching an advert they are getting some income hopefully. so it should work like that really. pro membership should be something to avoid such things.
Exactly. That's how pro memberships work in 99.9% of all other websites around the world. Why PPM don't do that is simply mind boggling.
But maybe you can see exactly what you need in adverts - why to miss that 
video commercials like this are way to agressive for my taste. so even if it would be non-pro only, it would decrease my interest in the game and not increase chances for me to buy pro. i won't talk about greed, but there are a lot of similar games, and none of them had gone so far with ads (also payable stuff, but I don't care about those)
