Your forwards should be playing worse when you play on very low. That's the whole idea. They will attempt long range shots instead of getting closer to the goal and therefore they will have a lower percentage of hitting the target.
This applies to midfielders too ?

sure, it applies to everyone, but it also depends on the quality of the opponent.
Let me check if I understood:
Low game importance: players will be forced to shoot from higher range (if opponent is way weaker, players will shoot from closer range)
Normal/high game importance: players will shoot from closer range (if opponent is stronger, players will shoot from higher ranges too).
Now, I have another 2 questions (I must admit that this soccer game engine is a mystery for me):
- does game importance influences shot percentage (S%) ? (for example if we have 5 shots on goal, from same distance, and play on normal, will we score more than if we would play on very low)

Question is also does "Normal play" mean that players play at 100% or not. My guess that they do not. "High" - could be 100%.
I am not willing to say any more. The lesson to learn from here is that importance is important.
It should be a difference betwen players that work very hard and those who don't. For example if you run a marathon (42km)...try to train next day. The training would be bad because you didn't regenerate, your muscles hurt and so one. But if you run, let say 1km, than you could easily train next day.
So we have a regenaration facility but still the body can't recover fast from marathon...but it can recover fast from 1km.
Every meneger before the important game give a day of (or they don't train hard) to his team, why is that.

Mayby it was not clear enough. I meant that playing at very low saves me energy to the end of season. But the advantage i have by higher energy in the end its not worth it. I lose more points in the beginning of season compared to the points i win in the end by higher energy. So i have no advantage to have a higher energy in the end (besides the league cup).
And yes, in my opinion there should be a training difference. A noticeable difference. A player playing very high should be more tired to train than a player playing very low. That seem very logical to me.
Since i dont train better and my players perform worse i see no point in using low or very low at all. And that makes the game importance, which should be an important managing part, for me unimportant. Since the NTs get there own energy its getting even more unimportant.

Au contraire. In the old engine strong teams could go through the whole season playing on low importance and winning everything. With the increased influence, they have to think more whether they want to risk it or not. The difference in energy decrease between very low and very high, or even normal, is quite significant.
I believe the league matches should not be played on low importance. Unless of course you are confident enough to win even so.
This difference gives the weaker teams chance to upset the stronger ones by putting in more effort. In long term, they cannot succeed because they will run out of energy, but in short term, they can cause upsets in key matches which will make the game more interesting for them.

Well, I see your point and i find it excellent to give weaker teams this way a chance to win against better teams.
I risked this season to play every game at very low. But in my experience i wont succeed even in the long term because i will not gain back the points i lost this way. But it was worth it cause the mainreason for me was that i thought i would gain better training. But i had to learn that this was a false thought

I somehow agree with what you said. If current energy will be influenced by game importance then:
- regeneration facility will have a higher importance
- users will think twice when they will choose game importance (because training will be influenced by it)
This would be a nice addition to game engine.

but compared with the players of the team which plays normal or even higher the whole season, you would see that your players train better?
