I think that while many of us feel that we will never catch the top teams, we are far too afraid that one of the teams behind us will catch up to offer any advice on how they might do so.
Are you advocating "handicapping" the teams that have excelled thus far or "gifting" the ones that are behind ?
Loving this discussion, but I have other pressing committments at this time. Will contnue when I get back.
It's not a PPM problem that all series are 3-0, it's a Canada problem because we don't have enough good teams.
Just look at China, the only team that wins 3-0 is "lian zi qing ru xu" and that's because he's by far the best team in the world.

The way I see it, you got in some kind of "dead zone", your academy was never good enough to give you money from selling good young players (That's how I managed to get out of that "dead zone"
. You upgraded your facilities too much without finishing your arena (The arena is the key to having good revenues), so they cost a lot to run.
And the cost of your players and staffs are probably increasing more than your sponsors are after each season.
I was stuck in the same kind of place a couple of seasons ago, I was barely making 1M$ of profits each week, couldn't upgrade anything. You really need to find a way to finish the arena, it really changes everything.

At the risk of offending canucks357
, I agree. In my opinion, academy and sporting directors need both be of higher calibre to increase the chances of saleable recruits. Two staff of high calibre is the max you will need in any facility UNLESS you are running over the player limit of 20 or training to replace a soon-to-be-retired staffer. I notice in some facilities you have three above average. Is this really necessary, or could you save some $$ there? With regards to arena, I made the opposite mistake (and others) of building my arena faster than I could sell it out (hockey). I had to sell a complete 2,500 section to avoid bankruptcy. Since then. I have developed a spreadsheet to predict income and expenses over the next season to avoid such financial problems.

Finishing the arena for me really did a bigger difference than I could've imagined. Never thought i'd finish a season with a 280M$ profit (Excluding player sales and Constructions).
My Ticket Sales alone covered my Player and Staff salaries + my Facilities Maintenance this season, it's crazy.

Can't seem to build my BB arena fast enough. Tickets selling at $300 even when not under construction. Made a mistake early by picking the wrong size to start. I am a firm believer now in not building anything less than max level 1,000 seating to start. Avoids demolition of anything at half price and maintains all accessories. Wish I had known this sooner in all sports.
Interesting. People intentionally trying not to win in the relegation round?
I believe that comment was made by me in the handball forum 14/06/2017/17:22:59 which was under a different set of cirrcumstances. Re-reading that article should more than explain why it might be more desirable not to promote under those circumstances. Since team OR is such an important number, it is fully understandable that any team that has promoted and lost OR, then won almost no games and gained almost no OR,then lost even more OR through demotion would want to avoid even more OR loss by repeating the process. Substantial loss of OR is not easily replaced and greatly affects your ability to win games.
Thanks, reiktaumme And Bobby Jay. I Make a pause this season in arena building but will soon resume. My SA is going to be L14 in a week. I am training my own staff to always have Canadian staffs, avoiding the 20% penalty for non-Canadian. I found that in BB staffs, Canadian ones in particular are a rarity. Good advises for the arena though. I am stuck with half price demolition, but soon over thus. I catches up the highest level principle couple of season ago, but not after having made the mistake!
Staffs do not have a salary penalty for being international like players do. Camadian ones are just as expensive.
Really? WOW! Thanks to let me know. 16 seasons off!
