Well this year finalist were 12-0 and 12-1 before facing in the finals.
In answer to your question,
Here are the energy consumption averages per quarter including the preliminary round of playoffs this season, for this season.
0.100 Canada Hooligans
0.211 Canada Sith Lords
0.319 Canada Les Aigles de Québec
0.323 Canada Reflex de Montréal
0.443 Canada The Purple Wind
0.500 Canada Camptown Racers†
0.510 Canada Québec Knight
0.511 Canada MousKat
0.555 Canada The Mighty Midgets
0.617 Canada Isle of Lewis Chessmen
0.699 Canada Vancouver Ravens
0.707 Canada Headless Thompson Gunners
0.754 Canada Royal City Principia
0.786 Canada Vengeance Stealers
1.170 Canada Ontario Snowtrotters
1.500 Canada Toronto FC
As you can see, Hooligans played every quarter at VH, and Toronto FC played every quarter at VH. Yes canucks357, I make these calculations 4 times a season, AND have the capability to easily do it on a per game basis for each of my seasons games !!

Well, okay, but you know what I mean. Those are like Sith and Hooligans. But the other teams shouldn't all sweep too.
I know you wouldn't agree, but "off the cuff", I think I could propose a reasonable explanation for each of them.

Sure, fine, but this does not mimic real life. That's my point. Not that they shouldn't have won, but ALL sweeps is my complaint. And it happens nearly every season (2 wins for a series-losing team in the last 3 years).
How would you compare the "parity in real life" with the "parity" in Canada I.I ? Would there be significant differences ?
In the "real life " NFL, is there currently parity between the New England Patriots (definitely NOT my favourite team) and the rest of the NFL ?
In the "real life" all star baseball game, is there currently parity between the AL and the NL (AL has won the last 5) ?

You're missing the point. One top team doesn't mean ALL series are swept. Why should 4v5 sweep? 3v6?
In my opinion, the differences in "management style" and "training procedures" by team are FAR greater in all PPM sports than they are in real life !! These two alone would suggest that we may never reach the level of parity that has/has not been reached in real life. In my opinion, it is unfair to compare the two.
So, to be clear, you think it is fine, normal, and all-good, that 19 of 21 playoff series have been sweeps over the last 3 years...?
IN PPM, there is no documented sure-fire path to success for each sport, and even the well established criteria for success explained by top teams are not followed by new/existing players, ... even if they are made aware of them. Even fewer are likely to ask for help and become discouraged with trying to find their way on their own.
But there is a sure-fire way to success in real life? You also didn't answer my question.
I think we need to do a better job of keeping new teams informed of how to achieve success in the hopes that more of them will hang around long enough to increase the number of high level competitive teams in this country
To answer your question ... NO, I don't think it's OK that there have been so many sweeps, but I DO think that this is what we will have to expect until we can increase the number and development of teams in this country.
1. Didn't answer the question.
2. Teams making playoffs in I.1 aren't NEW TEAMS
3. Issue I'm bringing up is not not having enough competitive teams, but that the results are constant brooms.
