A goalie doesn't need linemates to get his chemistry to 100%. Same goes for skaters. In this game chemistry can be reffered to as "lately experience" whereas experience is overall experience.
I have a proof that applies to the lines and not individual. I make a lot of research and results are shown at Serbian forum...
Everything about players is applied through lines, not individual, except goaltenders, this is why we can't select a goaltender for captain (IIHF and NHL rules do not permit goaltenders to be designated as captains, because of the logistical challenge of having the goaltender relay rules discussions between referees and coaches and then return to the crease, but there are exceptions: Vancouver Canucks named goaltender Roberto Luongo as its captain starting on September 30, 2008) - In NHL history, there have been seven goaltenders who served as team captains).

thank you IzzaX. It does make sense for chemistry to have effect on the line rather than the individual. Would you be willing to share a summary of your proof on this forum?
@Ciukitu, you seemed very sure about your statement. You wouldn't happen to have proof of chemistry being individual, would you?

I will answer you by asking Izzax something.
'Everything about players is applied through lines, not individual, except goaltenders, this is why we can't select a goaltender for captain'
Izzax, my friend, have you ever tried to change the captain from an offensive player to a defensive one, but in same line ? For sure, you will remark that when you'll do that, offensive rating, for that line, will be decreased while defensive rating will increase !
I have done a lot of tests, and I'm very close to find out the formula for offensive/defensive rating per line. I have only a 3 points error (maximum) per line !
Does that also boosts your "goaltending" rating?
actualy im witx Izzax on this. it is seen on all saturdays game in my team this season. 2 attackers goes for nt and they are replaced by inexperienced players, so my def stars drops by 6 stars...
you mean attack stars drop (you said you have 2 attackers who play for NT)
attack stars will drop anyway but defs arent changed but their stars droped. if chemistry would be calculated for each individual then my deff power should remain same even if i change all attacking trio.
Yeah I tried, and I must say to You that the gain from captain is different. If U set attacking player for captain U will gain less than if U set defenceman for captain (assume that both of them have similar skills for their position, for instance they are 200-100-100 both of them).
Example:
LW 200-100-100
C 200-100-100
RW 200-100-100
LD 200-100-100
RD 200-100-100
Let's assume that without a captain this line will make such marks:
Offence: 100
Defence: 100
(I'm giving such numbers just because of easier understanding and they not need to be correct)
With attacking player set as captain You will make this marks:
Offence: 106
Defence: 100
With defenseman player set to captain You will get this marks:
Offence: 100
Defence: 110
This is because everything which regards to attacking players is divided by 3 and which regards to defencemans is divided by 2...
I hope that You agree with me?

You explained that a lot better on serbian forum than here, but I agree with you. I even tested myself, and changed my captain from attacker to defenseman.
