Man, I'm getting tired of analyzing my team and it's success without any reasonable approach to it.
I am third in the table because I have put great effort to be third, and because my opponents haven't. And despite that, I lost some games which I shouldn't have.
I have great history of bad results, lousy opponents and their indifference for the game, for their team, and that is something which points out that something is wrong in calculating a game.
You are telling me that everything is fine, but when Vlady tells us that there will be changes, you are saying "Oh it's great, thumbs up". If it was fine, why should we change anything ?

And if you can build your team around a tactic, ie drawing people from your SA who have stronger defensive ability as forwards etc, or building forward lines that are checking lines, that would be really cool and may be possible?

I'm saying it's fine that you've lost games, that happens. The "random" you whine about is not a problem. The engine as it is works fine.

But there is room for improvement. The "counter-tactics" system is not something i'm fond of, i personally prefer the idea of building your team around a tactic, such as building a defensive team like the New Jersey Devils etc

Yes it is problem. I am in a manager simulator right ? When I manage something good it should give me mostly good results, and the other way around - if I'm doing it bad my team should underachieve.
And I'm sorry that I can't show you history of my underachieving made by correct decisions. It's mostly erased. This 3rd place can easily go to 18th because we just started season.

Don't worry. Be happy! I lose games I should win too. We all do. Just think... the Leafs win games right? So someone had to lose a game they should have won .

How is it erased? I can see that you had a bad season 2 years ago, only year you were not in the last 16 of the national cup and were relegated, but you came back strong to get back into I.1

I agree that there should be more ways you can influence your team, and i'm hoping they will continue to add them. But at some point your "players" have to do the job.

You can't take every shot and make every save so no matter how much influence and control you have over your team, in the end if the players don't perform you will still lose, and that's the way it's supposed to be.

Canucks if some of us didn't complain so much you wouldn't be happy to see changes are taking place.
But I'll take your advice about worry/happy thing

Look at the Devils this year, they are historically well run, have a pretty good lineup and they're just floundering. Unfortunately the hockey universe has just nailed you Popaji as the 2011 Devils year in and out

No, their players are not performing, dealing with injuries, etc. Brodeur the goalie has had the injury bug, Kovalchuck is getting paid a huge sum and can't even take a shootout shot, etc. All "random" events

Haha I want to complain right now as my team is getting spanked. I tend to lose to teams that are weaker across the board in OTS. Blew a 5-1 lead last home game. Just a game though...

So.....nobody is complaining about their bad luck from that team ? They can whine right ? If "chance" or "circumstances" could hear their voice, what do you think would happen ?

Oh, they are whining, and the coach may lose his job.

And no, i don't think "Chance" can hear the players voices. (but they may be praying!)

this is a game, and it can't be like real life, but the way they run things helps to introduce the chances that make it seem more like real life. The "Random" you complain about are what makes this fun

It makes it fun if you're the weaker team... If you are the stronger team and you know you should win, then it makes it only frustrating when you lose, not fun...

One more thing I'd like to add, since we don't have edit...

One of your best managers quit last season because of this. He was in CWC but he was still in 2nd league because of the random. In 3 seasons during playoffs he lost crucial games and year after year he couldn't get promotion, despite the fact that he was the 3rd team based on team strength in our country...

You call that fun too?
