you can still play them in games if they are in camp, they just dont get the training bonus for that day (i think?)
For both sports, it'd be nice if you could have a sortable stat for "average improvement", rather than having to go into each player's page, and then training progress.
Too much work. Sadly I have a life outside of PPM.

Good point. LOL I work from home, so i'm on my PC all the time

I still think you should be able to sort players on the players overview page by their team-assigned positions (Wing, Def, Goal, Center). Right now they're not listed. This should be a pro feature since I believe setting positions is a pro feature. Not positive on that.
This is a suggestion for building a balanced pyramid. Adding leagues to a division should be done in 16 steps. For mathematical simplicity, 1 has been subtracted from the league numbers, and the steps have been numbered from 0 ... 15.
For Step N:
Add League: 4 * (N mod 4) + floor (N/4)
So for the 3rd division, leagues would be added in the following order.
0, 4, 8, 12, 1, 5, 9, 13, 2, 6, 10, 14, 3, 7, 11, 15
This gives small overall size increments, while keeping the number of feeder leagues within each 2nd division league to a variation of one. After every 4 increments, the feeder pattern will be entirely symmetric.
When adding leagues to higher division, all leagues with an increment of 16 from one of the base numbered steps will be added at the same time:
So the 0th step for D.IV would be 0, 16, 32, 48
And the 1st step: 4, 20, 36, 52
The 0th step for D.V would be 0, 16, 32, ... 240
On the league page, there should be links to all activated feeder league, and the link that a league feeds into.
For Step N:
Add League: 4 * (N mod 4) + floor (N/4)
So for the 3rd division, leagues would be added in the following order.
0, 4, 8, 12, 1, 5, 9, 13, 2, 6, 10, 14, 3, 7, 11, 15

Promotion and relegation patterns should be based on relegating teams from the upper division (4 down + 4 possible) rather than promotion from the lower division (1 up + 1 down).
The 1:4 pyramid structure allows a lot of teams to fit in fewer divisions, so new teams can start in a 3rd, 4th, or 5th division, rather than 6th, 8th or 10th. But as a consequence, it is pretty hard to advance.
But when a new division is being added, there is no reason to make promotion so hard. For new teams that PPM wants to keep, you don't want to force teams to stick around 5 or 6 seasons (2 years) before their first promotion. And this will permit more NoN to be flushed to the bottom division. This will allow all new teams to consistently start in the bottom division.
If there is one feeder, then 1-4 from the lower division should promote, while 5-8 play 16-13 from the upper division in a pro/rel series (places are after the playoffs)
If there are two feeders, then 1-2 from the lower division should promoter, while 3-4 play 16-13 from the upper division.
If there are three feeders, then 1 from the lower division should promote along from 2 from the highest ranked feeder league. The other 2s plus the 3s from the two highest ranked feeder league would play 16-13 from the upper division. The ranking of feeder leagues would be made before the playoffs begin, so teams in the lower division would know what they had to do in order to get a chance to promote.
If there are four feeders, then the current system would be used, with 1 from the lower division promoting and 2 playing 16-13 from the upper division.

Teams should be permitted to make lateral moves between feeder leagues.
After the 3 league rounds, teams that have no chance to promote or relegate would be permitted to apply for a lateral transfer to a specified league (this would be done secretly).
At the time teams are moved via pro/rel PPM would also check for lateral moves. Teams would be prioritized by the OTR. Teams that applied for a lateral moved would be checked one by one to see if there was a bot in their applied-for league that could be swapped with their team. Whenever a swap was made, then scanning would start from the highest team whose shift had not been accommodated yet.
When no more swaps with bots can be made, then PPM would check whether any remaining applicants can be swapped with each other. Depending on the level of complexity PPM wants to introduce they can check for chains of 3 or 4 teams wanting to move between leagues.

Teams that are relegating should have the opportunity to choose their new league, or their pro/rel opponent. The ranking choice would be based on the playoff finish, so there would be an incentive to perform in the playoffs, even for relegating teams.
So the 17th place team would get first choice, the 17th place team the 2nd choice and so on. Teams would rank their choices following the 2nd round of the playoffs, with choices made in secret, Then when pro/rel happened teams would go to their highest-ranked choice that was still available. Teams that didn't make a choice would be assigned a league.
Teams that will finish 13-16 would get to rank their potential pro/rel opponents following the 2nd round (during the 3rd round of the playoffs). They would be able to rank any team with a chance of playing a promotion series (up to 8 teams).
Any rankings of teams that promote directly or don't qualify for a promotion match would be discarded. The 13th place team would play against their top pick, the 14th place team against the highest remaining pick and so on.
Teams that don't rank potential opponents would be assigned opponents automatically.

Great work on the puck and soccer balls for forum thread identifiers. If they have to share the same space on the page this is a good solution!
