Easy enough to fix, limit the amount of profit you can turn on a player held short term. Force them to keep the player on the roster long enough to matter. Still won't help alot unless you also scale the penalty for carrying too many players up with each player acquired. The short term sales penalty could also be scaled depending on how many players you have traded in the past 90 days or whatever threshold makes sense.
I've given up hope the devs will ever see the "problem" of excessive trading as an actual problem. I just don't think they see it as a problem. There have been a lot of people making strong arguments on why and how it should be fixed since season 1 but there hads never even been a comment from dev about it (that I know of).

Or you can give the players original club a percentage of the trade from the final price.
If you extend any now existing period or cut the profitin short term, it won't help. All traders will wait a bit longer, no problem...and in that time they will train players a bit better and sell them even better

I've got a suggestion...can you guys create a block feature for mangers so I can stop getting spam mail about players that are on the market. I've had a guy mail me every day now about players he has on the market or d going to put on the market.
