What about cycling? A popular and well-known sport. Hope they develop that sport in the future. American Football would also be great.
Cycling would be too easy. Just hire the best doping doctor and you sure to win...
I'd love to see American Football but I'm not holding my breath on that. Perhaps I don't understand the complexity of sports like biathalon, tennis, handball, and such but it seems football would be far more difficult to program.
the one American football game I tried out some time back was in beta. it was called Deep Route. decent game, but i did not have the time to put into it then--school, work, etc.. besides, I am not that much of a football guy. hockey got my attention at age 10 and that was that. 
should be a news item for any player/staff that failes to sell, so you can fire their lame asses.
there already is...check your news feed. it will say:

I had 4 players for sale. One was sold and I got the "transferred to another team message for him" but no messages for the other 3 players that were on the market.

Sometimes I get confused by football and hockey threads because they look alike. I suggest that there would be different font colors for each forums.
General forum = blue color (current)
Football forum = green color
Hockey forum = red color
For example:

And i would love to be able to swith from one or another team without having to go home.

right, suggested it before as well, but no word apart from some users telling it might be hard (which I don't understand at all, possible on forum so ...)
