Agreed. Myself, I use OFx2+SH+TE and compare the different player totals (I use highest as 3rd, 2nd as 1st and 3rd as 2nd). I ignore experience for the most part, though that might be more because most of my players are still under 20 Exp.
Of course, I haven't actually had a shootout in any games, including friendlies, so I don't know if that works.

Question about training camps: if I start a camp on day 111 of a season, will that camp count only towards that season's camps (and still go 7 days) or will it count as one of the next season's 2 camps?
They count towards the season that is "live" when you click the "Send to camp" button. You could do it 10pm EST on day 112 and it would count for season N not season N+1.
