I dont know if this is a big factor in playoffs but my team did very well in placement playoffs since a couple of years and I have a good shooting team.

Breplus5 is right, you'll be fine. Just win where you can and do so using as little energy as possible. You have a decent build going (I'd hold off on your rink until you get to div2). See where you're at 12 games in and go from there. If you're happy then go facilities. If you're struggling add a few high-OR players to boost your win rate.

Honestly, a lot of bad luck. My recommendation: increase the shooting of your players. Low shooting tends to results in games with lots of upsets.
I just said that and didn't see your post! Shooting is key! And you bought my best (and most experienced) shooters!!!

Ha shooting it is! thanks guys! I'm guess I should train it higher than equal to secondaries?
I usually train beetween 0.75 and 1.00 depending on the shooting Q. ( 1.00 is like the primary rating)
Ya I train 0.5-1 for my players. Most are around 0.7. Rare instances (like one player I sold to CG) I deviate and train 1.25 or in some instances under 0.5.
Sponsorship offers come in tomorrow. I have a stand being completed tomorrow. Can anybody tell me whether the stand will finish first and be incorporated into the media sponsorship offer?
I think so but look at your news for the order they're displayed.
That's what I'd said. FYI, my last stand builds were in the news at 23:49... shouldn't be surprised if sponsorship offers are happening before that time though.
I think if you wait to see your sponsor offer until the news feed shows that your stands are built, the newly built stands will be taken into effect.
Were I to bid on a player on the market, is my money tied up until the auction is over or until I am outbid?
The sponsor offer isn't generated until you click to see it, so don't look at it until you get the "stand is completed" news item.
Money is held until you are outbid for regular auctions, until the blind auction is over for free agent bids that you lose, and until the manager either pays off the signing demand or the week runs out for free agent bids that you win.
